It looks like they're using the same formula, or at least one extremely similar.  A confirmation from Max would be nice just to settle the debate authoritatively.

If you want to be one of the 47 Ronin check out our recruitment post and then send a message to Prof935 (xbox) or dimka935 (ps4).

I got my first MoE on my Fury yesterday, and I have only played it about 10 or so times since the MoE's came out, but I had 300+ games in it with fairly decent stats in it, so I was already doing fairly good in it stat wise, so I think this contributed to me getting a MoE quickly on it.

Never give up, never surrender!

Happy Halloween Everyone!

A light in the darkness. Thanks for the clear and concise information. It's a big hill to climb for three stars, but you just gotta keep plugging away. Best of luck everyone.

Peace:medal:

That WG account is sickening. With is someone supposed to do with 19.8 million gold? Lol.

I'd ask a question, but odds of getting a response doesn't ever seem high.

you poor kid. Buy tanks, equip them all ( I have 45, all fully equipped). I have 22bar. Need 40bar more for all the tanks I want.

When I am not otherwise engaged as a finely tuned, lethal instrument of mass cartoon tank destruction, I am an engineer.  And I find the math suspect.

If the averages are only considering the last 14 days, I don't see how any given player could simply play two 'epic' games and become the metric by which everyone else' scores for MOE are based on.

Here is another thing IMO that should be considered.  The players cumulative experience in the tank should also be 'weighted' in with the MOE determination.  For example if a player has a million experience in that tank (plays it all the time), some consideration for that time should be taken into account.  Earned medals as well.

Two EPIC games would not make you the standard, but could award you with a mark of excellence.  When the variables in the equation are extreme, it still requires at least 2 games to have a valid equation.  Does this help? The equation is experimental but comes from the geek squad at WOTlabs.net, they are mathmatizers full time 24/7.

Also the rolling EMA is your present EMA plus the weight of your next battle equals your new EMA.  The length of time you have had the tank is not required but does matter, the math gets way more reasonable at around 100 games.

Okay I'm posting from a phone and a little sleep addled.

Today I got my first 3rd MoE. And some thing is not adding up.

If a score of 1800 increases your MoE % than the 95% mark is less than that. If the 95% mark is worked off of the highest score, then the highes score would be less than 1894.

If one in eight of my games I'm batting a score of 4200 then that would mean I am the high score, and I can't be measured against myself. Because if the high score is say 3000 then any score less than 2850 will never help get you over the 95% mark.

Right?

Right?

Nope.  If 1800 increases your MoE%, then the 100% mark is less than that.  The 95% would be even lower still.

As far as your scoring 4200, that increases your % even faster because it is comparing your score from that battle to your EMA.  The more your new battle is above your EMA the more it increases.  Those monster games are the key to rapid increases in your %.

If that first bit is true, then how the hell is the benchmark high score determined?

That is a mystery they have not revealed.  They have some software that analyzes the data and comes up with the number, but they have not revealed the exact formula.

I'm not sure if this has been answered...if so I am sorry.  But why do I keep getting a 65% mark of excellence in the same tank...I have played games in my e-25 and during on stretch I got a mark for 3 straight games...it was always the 65% one yet my e25 has 3 rings at the end of the barrel.  Just trying to figure it out.

It works the same as a Mastery Badge. As long as your EMA is higher than 65%, it will always display.
