I'm not sure if this has been answered...if so I am sorry.  But why do I keep getting a 65% mark of excellence in the same tank...I have played games in my e-25 and during on stretch I got a mark for 3 straight games...it was always the 65% one yet my e25 has 3 rings at the end of the barrel.  Just trying to figure it out.

the German tanks get 3 rings for each MoE so if battles stats are over 65% but less than 85% your E-25 is showing correctly.

Gotcha!!   I find it funny...I have some amazing matches in it...and then I have some where I have no assisted damage and not much damage done period and I still get it...and the great games I don't.    Also...I've heard that I can see how much I need to reach the next one...is that possible in Xbox one?

It is in the Stats tab. When you select a tank with tier 5+ you have the Damage Standing % in the right lower part of the screen. :great:

*sigh* how can so many damned posts be mad about something and people still don't understand something so simple...*

So long as your average still qualifies for the mark, you'll always see it in your pbr.

Finally got a mark of excellence on two of my td's my isu-152 and my borsig both were coinicidentally 5,000+ dmg games

Fear... It is something vital to us puny creatures. The instant man stops fearing is the instant the species reaches a dead end, only to sink to pitable lows, only to sit and wait apathetically for extinction. Humans who lose the ability to think become creatures whose existance has no value. Wake up! Don't be afraid of knowledge! Think, you humans who are split into two worlds, unless you want the gulf between humans to expand into oblivian, you must think! Signed, Schwarzwald.

Every battle I roll out in my Tiger-P I get the 65% MoE no matter what. I'm not convinced the function works correctly. Is it possible to have "my data" scrubbed on the servers, like doing a defragmentation on my computer? I think mine could use it.

Really?!?! You read through all of that, pick his post to quote, and skip by my post that's answers this very thing you seemed to be so puzzled about?!?! I literally can NOT believe how LAZY some people are. Though I should expect it. But damn. Why answer things if people just ignore it anyways.

Hey Lost...relax!!!   I didn't get a chance to respond in time...but I had found it.   So take your sarcastic response and just let people go.  By the way I was playing on 360 not Xbox one.  That's why I asked...so excuse me.

There was no sarcasm in my post. Xbone or 360 is irrelevant.

Lazy is lazy. The answer to your question was right there. There was no reason to responde to anything. Not sure what your talking about..

First let me say to Max, you've done a good job explaining this and presenting examples, despite the continued confusion. Admittedly it's a rather complex system; I have a background in advanced math and it took me a couple read throughs to get it; but I think it is a good system in assessing actual performance. I'll try and offer an explaination in simpler terms for those still lost.

Your EMA is basically your average damage(including assists) in that particular tank. However instead of being a straight average, it is modified to penalize you for having a smaller number of games played in that tank. This is what stops someone from getting a new tank and having two great first games that are within 35% of the high average from getting a MoE. Basically it's a way to ensure the measure is of long term skill/performance in that tank.

Now the time period thing seems to get a lot of folks confused. In short, there is no time period on your personal EMA in a particular tank. It accounts for every game you've played in that tank. Games will not "fall off", however individual past games will become less valuable or impactful on the EMA everytime it is recalculated with a new game. So again the time period does NOT affect your personal EMA in any way. To be clear though, your EMA is a solid number, NOT the percentage you see in game. The percentage is how your EMA compares to the "high average" in that tank.

The high average is where the 14 days comes in play. The target high average is just that, the highest average damage (including assists) anyone has maintained over the last 14 days in that tank. It is NOT a single high score achieved in that window. So again your all time EMA number is being compared to a 14 day average, not another all time number. Why 14 days and not the all time average? There are a couple good reasons. For one, tanks do occasionally get nerfed. So for instance if it was compared to the high all time average, no one would ever get MoE in the Chaffee ever again now that it's nerfed since the high would no doubt be set by someone who played it before the nerf and never after. Another reason is that no doubt there would be tanks where someone went on a lucky streak setting a high average, and then never played the tank again, meaning earning MoE for that tank would be difficult.

Hope that helps some of you.

Here is a question....Are the Freedom and Super Pershing stats thrown together or are the two completely separate in terms of MOE calculations?  What about he FCM 50t vs Liberte?

They are different tanks and have their own stats for each.

One simple question:

Why is it restricted to tiers 5+

I'm guessing it's a combination of some of the smaller guns being too small to really see the marks and also that they don't want us all seal clubbing to get our marks on low tier tanks.

If you want to be one of the 47 Ronin check out our recruitment post and then send a message to Prof935 (xbox) or dimka935 (ps4).

can't seem to find this question i am about to ask in all of the related threads about MoE.

Say I played a particular tank for a few weeks (50 matches total) and have earned a MoE on that tank of 94%, I would have the MoE2 on the tank.

Now my question, say I stop playing this tank for a few weeks, what would my MoE be? would it be reset back to 0?  or will match #51 simply continue from where I left off?

49 Tier X's, less than a dozen to go... Arrrrrgggg the grind is REAL!!!

Thanks a lot for the information. Don't get to play on a consistent basis plus when i do i might be running as many as four tanks, three games each then call it a night. So this means it might take (much) longer but, if the particular tanks i might be using still need enough xp before unlocking the next tank, i'll get there. :great:
If i can see you, you're in range:bush:

It simply continues where you left off.

The only thing time sensitive is the number your average is being compared against. So you will pick up where you left off with your personal score, but the percentage it is of the high average may change a little.

So if you leave off at 94%, when you come back to that tank you may be up or down a couple percent.
