i'm on xbox 360, & i've experienced below average damage & assisted damage for some time. i've done system info analysis & found i have 66-70 ms latency. when i googled that, was told that range is bad news for multi-player shooter games. a friend of mine with the same internet provider said he contacted them & got a list of proved routers & bought his own & now has no problems. i'm asking for input on how to best improve performance on wot xbox 360. any info will be appreciated!

I highly recommend you start a new thread with the appropriate title to get help with that.  Nobody is going to look in this thread for that subject.  The only thing I know is that I usually get less latency when hard wired instead of running wireless.

Well, don't hold your breath for the marks. I got 2 the other day in my T29 but, only one on the barrel. Took pics and sent a ticket so, we will see what WG does.

You only have 1 mark of Excellence. Once you get higher then 85% then you will earn 2 marks of excellence. When you see "1 Mark of Excellence" on your battle report it does not mean you have earned another mark, it's simply saying that you are still in the 1 mark of excellence range (65%-84%). It will continue to display this every game until:

- your average drops below 65%, at which you won't see it on your after battle report

- your average goes above 85%, at which time it will display 2 marks of excellence and then you will get the 2nd mark on your barrel.

Hope that clears up the confusion. :honoring:

Wow I'm not above 90 yet but I have heard you have to avoid kill shots if there is a full health target available, and fall back and farm damage if the flank or battle goes south too quickly.  Seems kinda screwed, but the green team should still be happy to have such a damage machine on board anyway.

STICK WITH IT BRO... THAT 3RD MARK IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER FOR U... I HAVE SPOKEN....

Anyone have a link somewhere to a database for different tank types what the damage+assist needs to be?

I've been only running my T67 constantly . Ran it 6 hours yesterday to get the 2nd star . I was just at 92% , had a top gun match with around 1500 dmg , went down to 91 % . That 3rd star is alot of work .

So EMA, how many games is that moving average?

If I sucked in a tank because I was new to the game or style (heavy tank when I usually play lights) or whatever, then later I come back to it and do really well, how long would it take for me to erase the bad games in the beginning?

Technically, the EMA includes EVERY battle since they started tracking it.  However, the most recent battle is the only one that causes it to move (one way or the other).

So theoretically speaking, you could have done so poor in a tank that you could never bring your average up high enough to get 3 marks?

No, its an exponential average, so if you keep playing and do well, eventually those bad games will be statistically insignificant but never zero (think 0.001% for example). The most recent games dominate the EMA (depending on the actual coefficients, the most recent 100 games might be more than 85% of your total EMA score).

In theory, enough good games will get you back to 3 MoE, but the more you have to "erase" the longer it will take. But in theory, it is not never.

So the Damage Standing has to do with the MOE? So i may not get one. Due to the random days i get to play on top of those times are usually after midnight (ET) when the chance of being teamed with a bunch of YOLO'ers is higher = odds are against me. :( People want to underestimate me due to no marks? Go ahead, i've spent my whole life proving people who do that wrong. :justwait::izmena::playing:
If i can see you, you're in range:bush:

can someone show me a moe? if I go to stats on tanks I've owned on the right hand side it has nothing. 3,2,or 1. is that moe? and I haven't noticed or tried to really look, but if you do have one of these Moe's then you'll have some kind of mark on the barrell? I see often better than 65% or better than 95% several times I thought it said better than 99%. is that talking about moe?

I am newer to the game, my favorite all time games have been the battlefield series 2,3, and 4. all of which I've been a tank dominator. so to no surprise I'm fairly decent at this game. love this game!

It sounds like you're talking about Mastery Badges - the Ace Mastery is awarded for a single battle better than 99% of others in the same tank.  That is not MoE.

MoE are awarded for excellence over time.  If you go to your stats in-game (not the web site) you will see something called 'Damage Standing' with a %.  That is what determines if you get an MoE.  When that reaches at least 65% you'll get your first MoE and you'll see it on the barrel of the tank in the garage.  Hope that helps!

Marks of Excellence are essentially Mastery badges that look at player damage + assist damage instead of experience. Like Mastery Badges, they can only be awarded if a player achieves more damage per game than a percentage of the entire player base. The server takes the average damage over the past 14 days from all players who have played that tank and compares it against the player’s average damage after each battle.

What does all this mean?  The damage and assist damage you earn after each battle will be compared against the average for that tank across ALL battles in the past 14 days.  If your average is higher the required percentage of the global average, you’ll earn a mark!

Let’s say the top damage + assist damage for the IS-6 per match is 7000 points of damage.  To get the first mark, you need higher than 65% of that, which is 4500.  85% is 5950 and 95% is 6650.  Remember it’s the average of damage dealt + assist damage!

Players who have already earned a Mark of Excellence can now track their progress towards the next one with the addition of progress percentages.

The progress will be shown in the Stats Log, per vehicle: "Your current ratio is higher than the ratio of X% of players."

At the moment, only players that have already earned a Mark of Excellence will be able to see the progress towards the next one. Players without a Mark on any tank will not be able to see their percentage while they try to earn the first Mark.  This will be changed in a future update to allow all players to view their progress percentage even if they do not currently own a Mark.

 The Details:
  • Awarded per tank.
  • Tier V tanks or higher only.
  • Minimum of one battle to be eligible to earn a mark.
  • Once a player earns a mark, they will always have it.
  • Players may see marks awarded again in a battle. This works similarly to Mastery badges.
  • Stats tab displays highest Mark(s) and current percentage for that tank if you’ve earned a Mark.  Support for players who are trying to earn their first mark will be added soon!

Historically, gun marks were typically earned only by tank aces, so earning them in World of Tanks is deliberately demanding. To earn the first of three marks for a specific tank, you'll have to break into the top 35% of players using it; for the second and third tiers you'll need to rank in the top 15% and 5% respectively.
