Does overtraining the crew really work on consoles?

Yep. The unused crew experience just builds on the crew until you opt to use it for something, usually the next skill/perk or retraining for another tank. I do it all the time so I don't have to use higher tier vehicles with a 75% crew.

Thanks. I know how it works - I've used it on PC a lot. There at least is a way to check the accumulated xp on PC and on Xbox I'll have to count it manually :sceptic:

Great work, thank you.

Update 08/29/2016:

Updated render range/draw distance. As of Update 3.0, render range is no longer a 100mx1000mx1000m cube centered on your vehicle but instead a 564m sphere centered on your vehicle. You will now be able to see enemy vehicles within 564m in ANY direction of your vehicle instead of 500m in the cardinal directions and 707m in the corners of the cube. The total area of coverage is almost exactly the same.

I have a question? When starting a game and looking at your teammates names and tanks they are using some of them have a number. Either a 1 or a 2, lately I've been seeing 4 and 5 at the end of their name. Please what does this mean  Lol

It means they are in platoon.

Platooning is a way for friends to ensure they are in the same team so that they can play together. The maximum size of a platoon is five people.

The number doesn't have a deeper meaning. The game gives a number to a platoon. All people in that platoon will get a number in front of their name so other can see they are together. So all players with, for example, the number one are in the same platoon. If you meet such a player in the fight you can expect that he has backup close with whom he can work like a team.

So if there is 1 platoon in the entire game, you will only see 1's. If there are 6 platoons the numbers go from 1 up to 6.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Just heard about this in the Mobius Y video, awesome thread and cheers for taking the time to create and update it :)

I used to think that it would be better to ONLY play against opponents that were at the same or a similar level of skill to me too

Then when I thought about it I realised that being in a match with 6 2 year olds, 12 corpses, 4 blind people, 3 people with no arms, and 4 people in comas might not be as much fun as I had initially imagined

That's why I wuv my waffle soooooooo much

What advice would you give for grinding to a tier 10 as fast as possible?

I would actually advise sticking around tier 5-7 until a good grasp of the game mechanics is had. Judging by your stats, I would say you are well on your way to just that.

Otherwise, just keep grinding away really. Maximize your profits by getting the "Close quarters" bonus which provides more experience for damage dealt, spot your own targets (Exp is halved when an ally is spotting for you), and try to deal damage to higher tier vehicles. Victory also gets you a nice 1.5X modifier to exp earned and getting "Battle Hero Medals" provides the 1.5X exp modifier on a loss as well (Does not stack with Victory modifier however).

Thank you. ^_^ Thought there could be some extra secrets I didn't know about, seeing "Beta582's guide to everything" I had to ask. ^_^ I hate those stats. Mine in particular are skewed by a younger 10 year old brother who likes to come to my house and suicide his older brothers cool fast tanks. Haha.

Update 2/25/16

Added Aim Times with various consumables under Tank Stats.

Next on to do list: View ranges

MAJOR EDIT: Corrected my calculations. My bad there.

Been a while but... UPDATE 08/26/2017

Tried to add this to the original post under Tank Stats but get the error message "Your post is too long", so I will add it here and put a link in the original post.

View Ranges with various Consumables:

MAJOR EDIT #2:
Nuking this section for the time being. Still a work in progress as I got confirmation from Wargaming for how Situational Awareness and Recon affect view range (it modifies base view range before it is put into the formula). This means I have a good bit of work ahead of me for this section to be accurate.

Update 09/18/2017

Kind of an update and kind of not at the same time.

Added "The Matchmaker Explained" link under Matchmaking: as this is Wargaming direct guide on their matchmaker that goes into details that were not shared with the public originally (working on getting all that information in that section as well but it will take time to compare).

I am nuking the View Ranges with various Consumables section for the time being as the calculations were sloppy and didn't include Situational Awareness and Recon in them because I wasn't sure how they were applied at the time. Originally, I was going to just add these into the post above but quickly realized just how many calculations it would be for all the different view ranges in the game (1,320 DIFFERENT calculations to be exact if only running calculations for fully trained crews. This means if you were to run every calculation for each percentage of crew training from 75% to 100%, that would be 34,320 different calculations!).

I just don't want to add that colossal wall of text so I did create a fully functional calculator in Excel where you just plug the vehicles base view range into it and it does everything automatically. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get this available to the public, it would be greatly appreciated!
