Artillery is supposed to be of a support tank than anything else yet they are able to one-shot and cripple tanks....if there is one thing I have to say it will be look at how PC balanced artillery, the devs should do that

I agree that they need to do something shy of removing it. I can't weigh in with personal experience, but lots of people that play on the PC say the current changes are worse than they were before with the stun mechanics and such.

Perhaps Arty is a necessary mechanic of the game? On a basic level we need arty. Maybe arty helps more than most are aware?
It's not like those ship destroyers in the water, or planes flying overhead are providing any air support.

Oh, and if you feel singled out by arty it's because we can easiest hit those who stay in one place. Even by moving forwards and backwards can make arty miss...don't be predictable, keep in mind your cover, and if you really hate arty, play one for 100 matches.

So no one answered me in the other thread:

So what's the best and easiest/most enraging for the reds arty line to go down?


I got as far as the Wespe then gave up, but I think I should at least have one arty line at tier 5. For reasons.


Something with a relatively fast rate of fire, and low shell angle.

can't remember the names but tier five in both the American and German lines are pretty good

Thanks, those are the ones I was looking at. I think the German has insane alpha.

Thoughts on the bishop with fast reload and lower alpha?

Or the Russian su122 with 910 alpha at tier 5?

Wasn't a big fan of the German line.The raw damage when you hit something is excellent but I found myself having to re aim way to often.I stopped the soviet line early so I can't give you anything reliable there.The Bishop is not bad if you can remain hidden and park yourself on an incline pointing the the gun up a bit because the range on this thing is bad and you have to get real close to the danger.

 

Love the American line.The tier V  M41 is a great artillery piece:it moves around pretty quick,has great gun arch so your not re aiming to much,good damage(if rng is in your favor),and an AP shell that will ruin any ones day if they come hunting for you.Always have a handful of these available.

That's great to know - I have the tier 5 US arty unlocked from the Chaffee chassis, so I can jump straight to it without any grind. Might throw my T37 driver in there, I'm finding teh MT25 more fun.

Arty is killing the game for me at the moment.

Seriously, games are so much better when there are no arty in them.

2 is the sweet spot.

1 I don't worry.
3 I worry.
2 I have to keep them in mind, but play as normal.

No arty games usually mean 6 camping TD's on the red team, which is much worse.
