Only positive thing about all these light ops is to see the piggies squeal and run for the nearest pool of water deep enough to drown themselves before the lights eat them for breakfast

It is almost worth putting up with all the other negatives:)

Arty is only in the game so bad players have something to play and can do damage when rng is on their side, good to see this topic is still going strong though

Neither had I.  I didn't even get a message one way or the other after that.

Tried playing the game again after a break, every single one of those games I was one shotted by a arty at least one tier lower than me whilst playing aggressively and keeping on the move. It seems the arty players want me to continue having a break.

I sold my GW Tiger (again) and SU-14. Playing arty is almost impossible. Grinding arty is impossible.

Today was the first time I saw personally how arty tried to drown itself.  I got past the enemy lines with my Cromwell and took out the first arty with a single shot. I think, I hit ammo rack or something when it exploded like a firecracker.  Other arty was close by and tried to shotgun me, but missed and right after miss it turned around and driver into the lake.  I drive at the shore and shot the arty into the lake when it was under water.  I felt a bit bad as it was like shooting fish in a barrel, but then I started to wonder why it did that?  Was it because the arty player did not want to give me the kill and experience?   Or does it affect stats differently if you die accidentally?

I also play arty and when I see the enemy tank closing in from the map, I have to make a decision, do I try to shotgun it or do I keep supporting my team as long as my gun is still in the game.

If I have a target under work, I keep my gun singing until enemy tank takes me out, I personally feel that it's a professional way to go out.  Never, I have I tough that there is an option to suicide my tank by driving it down from the near by cliff or into the lake.

My favorite tanks: Pz.Kpfw. II Luchs,  Spähpanzer I C, Cromwell Snakebite, AMX Chaffee, Cromwell B, Sherman Firefly Boilermaker, T-34, Pz.Kpfw. III/IV, Defiance Matilda,  Hetzer, T1 Heavy Tank, T14, T29, Captured KV-1, KV-220-2, Tiger 2, Dicker Max, FV305, FV304, Sexton I, leFH18B2.

This is one of the many reasons artillery is so strongly disliked to put it polite.

The reason why they drown themselves or drive off cliffs is just to deny players credit and xp, beacuse they themselves are to put it mildly not good at the game.

There have been several occasions where i have missed out on epic medals because of "Scumbags" commiting suicide.

It's something bad players do to deny damage/kills for the enemy. You will see light tanks do it a LOT, but all classes do it from time to time.
