Hahaha support from friendly arty.
The only way to witness support from friendly arty is if there is a tank on low health when the game score is at around 14-3 mark.
So you just flat out say all who play arty are selfish buffoons? Well that won't win an argument.

A WoTX Player asked:
"could it be possible to get a breakdown of the percentage of each class is played by the overall player base? I.E 60 percent uses lights, 80 percent uses TD's etc.
Sure thing, thanks for writing in, here you go:

So arty is played the least but complained about the most.... Sounds like a broken class.

I believe he only plays mediums for the most part. He and many like him want games where we can use the entirety of the maps without getting shot from some random plebian miles away at no risk. I find it funny you say easy mode and you are always harping on about your 'skill cannon' and t29. Arty is easy mode. Don't kid yourself.
If he was a decent medium driver he wouldn't need to worry about arty much at all.
All classes are easy mode, don't kid yourself

Fear... It is something vital to us puny creatures. The instant man stops fearing is the instant the species reaches a dead end, only to sink to pitable lows, only to sit and wait apathetically for extinction. Humans who lose the ability to think become creatures whose existance has no value. Wake up! Don't be afraid of knowledge! Think, you humans who are split into two worlds, unless you want the gulf between humans to expand into oblivian, you must think! Signed, Schwarzwald.

Its the most complained about because of 3 good reasons
A) Misunderstood: while some claim that its "easy mode", its one of the hardest and least rewarding XP grinds in the game since you usually earn XP at almost half the rate since you cannot spot for your own damage 90% of the time.
B) Offers a different view of the battlefield: many claim this type of view to be very unhistorical and broken. While yes it is impossible at that time to have that such type of detailed view, there were expertly detailed maps, spotters, artillery scout planes and radio. These were all used in conjunction to make artillery quite accurate, the game basically combines them all in this Satellite like view of the game.
C) Ability to One-Shot: Obviously the most complained about topic of artillery. Unfortunately this is more of a case by case process so I won't go into too much detail. But I will say this, most "good" artillery players only have like a 30% hit rate in high damage artillery pieces. Combined with the rather inaccurate gun, long reloads, and low ammo loadout on many high tier arty; this is fairly balanced. People complained because they got one shotted, but they may have been fired at 2,3,4 times before it even hit.
At least this is the majority of what I think why people complain.

It is. Arty is broken due to WoT XBox's magic shift of trajectory of a shell if a tank goes unspotted after the round is fired. The only SPG I haven't noticed this shift on is the FV304. Which makes sense, because the shift is especially noticeable on shells with lower trajectories.

The 30% hit rate doesn't include splash damage.

its not magic, its the fact that your reticle points to the highest point on the field (if a tank is spotted, the top of that tank), when said tank becomes unspotted, the highest point rendered is the ground, several meters below where it was pointed originally. Since with most artillery the shell travels at less that a 45 degree angle at any range, the reticle will adjust so that the shell will lande on the ground, under the tank, which is several meters in front of where the reticle was on the tank. It would be easier to describe with a picture, but long story short the reason you don't notice it in your bert is because it has such a high gun ark the reticle barely has to adjust due to the shell coming almost straight down ontop of targerts.
I'm assuming you knew most of this, but calling it magic is a bit misleading. In any case I always thought it would be more fair if artillery didn't account for the tanks being there, making aiming much easier (you don't have to worry about turrets and whatnot that cause your reticle to jump).

Based on what statistics? If I can't hit a target that is dug in deep, I go and look for one that I can get. Also, most maps like urban cities make it difficult for arty to even get a shot anywhere. Again, spewing out your ignorance.

Now before you say hide behind the windmill for cover let me remind you that it isn't big enough for you and you're teammates to hide behind, even if you could all hide there then fighting from one spot would he beyond [edited]ed and the opfor would win due to the [edited]ed [edited]spot everyone on your team is hiding in.

Yeah but it can damage 4 maybe more tanks all for 500+ damage each plus crew and modules though.

So nothing anyone can say will change anyone's minds. 99% of you have chosen what to believe.
Btw my new opinion is arty is fair and balanced! It's my new opinion since arty's not going anywhere.

Ive had an ammo rack detonation from artillery splash. The amount of damage artillery splash does is insane.

Not broken. Just a case of what is quoted below. The people who don't like Arty create a thread about it almost daily. What was your count at one point? 13 threads created about Arty in 3 months?

Exactly. Like I stated about it above, the people who hate Arty create the majority of threads about them and only represent a small portion of the population that is actually on the forums.
