Sadly War Gaming is more concerned with shoveling out more UNWANTED war maps and bouncing crap on tanks.

Very true. I have had so many games where I don't want to know that my teammate is driving a IS-8 when I'm trying to see if the TD on screen is the red teams JagdPanzer E-100 or Foch 155 and unless I drive so far out that I'm in the "you're so screwed now" state I can't bloody tell who is out there. Also annoying how it prioritizes "Blah Blah, follow me!" over you trying to target the WT E-100 behind Blah Blah and get  everyone to target the WT E-100 so instead of "Requesting fire on, What's his name!" you always get "Blah Blah, follow me!". A few fixes that would greatly improve player efficiency while taking minimal effort on WG's part.

Can i ask why this thread has recieved no feedback from devs?

 

I mean 118 upvotes and still no comment on this issue been worked on.

Very well thought out post, agree. However the rightbumper is friend. I lockon/turret lock like 75% of the time, that other 25% is sniper mode with zoom

While they are at it it'd be nice to just see the type of tank instead of seeing the name of the person driving. I could care less that I was destroyed by "IRektdUhard"<fake name but you get the point.

OP, i completely agree with you that this is an issue. As a light tank driver this is one of the biggest obstacles i have to overcome that really shouldnt be an issue. Knowing exactly what the enemy tank is and how much hp it has left could be the info i need in a crucial moment, like breaking cover to perform the circle of death only to be aniahilated by something i know i cant pen or circle.

i can only imagine its because it requires significant actual coding/programming to change something like this

 

most likely a WG guy added it into some report, but without significant push from WG Staff to get it changed, it requires a lot of work to do and thus isn't high on the Devs' priority list...?
