World of Tanks Community League (WCL) – Staff Wanted!!!

****Staffing is now set for season 2.  Thank you all who inquired.****

What does it take?

-Need to be able to commit to a scheduled event date/time and show up to perform reliably.

-Must be at least 16 years of age and able to sign (or have a parent sign) a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

-Must be available on Saturdays approximately February through April, 2017.

-Must be willing to commit about 6 hours each Saturday.

-Need to be on Discord to communicate with other staff and team captains.

-As a staff member you may not play on any team in the event.

-You will be required to leave any current clan to join the WCL clan during the event.  You may alternatively use an alternate account to join the WCL clan and use only that account for staff duties.

Streamers-

-You must be able to stream using OBS or Xsplit.

-You must be able to stream with a 420 second delay.

-You can’t stream from your console because it doesn’t have the ability to set a stream delay.

-You need to be able to either save a local recording of the matches for upload to YouTube or create highlights on twitch.tv that can be uploaded to YouTube.

-Streamers need to have an Xbox.

Moderators-

-You must be able to read and understand the rules.

-You must be able to enforce rules, even when it puts your favorite team at a disadvantage, and even when it makes you unpopular.

-You must be able to recognize when a situation is beyond the scope of the written rules and bring it to the attention of an Administrator.

-You are not required to have an Xbox.  PS4 players can gain valuable experience helping manage teams and divisions on Discord.

If you are available on weekends, are responsible, are dependable, and wish to help then please join the WCT Clan Hub discord server at https://discord.gg/0szjvUdRj3dQ36Tg and contact the following person(s) for your desired position:

-Streamers – Hatter or TVDL2000

-Moderators – Alle or Pontiac Pat

Thank you!

WCL Administration

This would be fun but I've never gotten OBS to work for me.  :(
Protip: WCT getting more staff means more games simultaneously which means more teams involved.  ;):great:

I should probably note that although PS4 is mentioned in the posting, we do not anticipate being able to include PS4 in the next tournament.  We do, however, want to get some PS4 staff up to speed during this go around so they will be ready to go down the road.

Hey guys -

As Pontiac Pat wrote above, we know there is a huge demand both for organizing and participating in these tournaments. If you're interested and feel like you would make a good fit, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. It's pretty rewarding as we continue to build on the success of competitive play for console. Lots of cool stuff to come in the future!

I would be interested in streaming, but I know I have a lot of technical stuff to work out on my end to be able to do this.  I think I have all the necessary equipment, but not the experience using it.  Is there someone I can contact to figure out those technical questions.  Also, when (generally) do the matches take place?  Is it mostly nights/weekends?  Middle of the day during the week?

Streamers-

-You must be able to stream using OBS or Xsplit.

I use x-split to stream the live footage from my recording device.

-You must be able to stream with a 420 second delay.

I have no idea how to set a stream delay so I would need help with it, I know there is one but it's one or two minutes long.

-You need to be able to either save a local recording of the matches for upload to YouTube or create highlights on twitch.tv that can be uploaded to YouTube.

Since I use the record device live footage to show to the stream I can also hit the record button to record local footage. I have a powerful PC and internet connect to hold a decent quality footage, but I need to do some testing before to make sure everything works.

A problem with with me mainly is I'll forget the date and someone may need to remind me on the day. I also stream on twitch, so if I would be required to steam on another website then I might have a few issues with setting everything up. Also another issue is I live at two different houses so I can only stream every other week.

Go ahead and contact MadHatter or TVDL directly through the Discord server in the OP.  They'll know if those issues can be worked around.  Thanks!
