It's a great tank for shoot and scoot.

it's a great tank but it seems to have bad matchmaking, I seem to always be fighting tier 8's in it.

I'll get it since I don't have a British trainer.  As for MM.  Took the tank tree Cromwell out for a spin hoping for a favorable map.  I take MM with a grain of salt but, yep you guest it.  Pacific Island and low tier VI-VIII (I mean low tier [the only VI tank on my team])  Thanks WG!

Don't miss out! It's marvelous. Cheap too compared to the other premiums out there. And given the fact that there are so few worthwhile brit premiums one should definitely get it.

Buy the Tech Tree Cromwell first, see how well you get along with that first (fully upgraded of course! ).

If you then decide you like the Cromwell then buy the Knight.

She's just the same tank, with a fancy paint job, (which acts as Permanent Camo Paint), and a couple of minor buffs and nerfs to things like turret and chassis rotation, which, TBH, I don't really feel are that noticeable.

The gun does get an accuracy nerf however which you really do notice.

On the move accuracy is hilariously bad and even fully aimed in you can have WTH shots, but you can still get some good damage with it.

She's a very good, fun, tank, she earns good Silver, earns good XP, (which all my crews have really benefited from) and quite frankly if you want the British Premium,  this is the one to buy.

As for the paintwork,  she's probably the best looking of all the Flag Tanks - but then I'm biased!

This. Have a hundred battles in the Knight now and it's not scoring as well as the Cromwell. Very very close, but the accu nerf really affects it on the move.  Shots fly into space...

Prefer the normal Cromwell in terms of pure scoring/wins/kills.

(chuckle), Yeah there's nerfing accuracy, and there's Nerfing Accuracy.

The Knights well and truly NERFED!!!

Still a stupidly fun tank!

Any suggestion from experienced players on which skills/perks I should train first on my Knight? 6th sense I can't play without being quite new to the game, but what about the others?

As of equipment I would go for Vents, Rammer and Coated optics (no GLD as aim time is 1.9).

Thanks.

It's a very good tank that can do well in T8 battles. Perform a LT role and work for flanks and harass/distract enemy tanks for your harder hitting T8 tanks. I've finished top of the leaderboard regularly. You will have to shoot a little more APCR in T8 battles. You can literally run circles around many T8 heavies that are all alone and their turret traverse will not be able to keep up with you.

I think it's personal preference, but I train Sixth Sense, train repairs (swap for BiA), train repairs, camo, Snap shot, smooth ride and then the vision perks (these are on my Crommie crew). Some train safe stowage. I'm only using my Knight to train the 1st 4 skills for other tanks and then starting another crew.

MM is MM.  I'll complain if I get "X" number of low tier matches in a row but, other than that it's no big deal.

I know it's a good tank (Cromwell) and it's one of my keepers.  Just don't play it as much.  A map like Pacific Island in my mine doesn't work well for the shoot and scoot style.  Always have a handful of Prem for that T8 heavy moment.  Unfortunately for me I ran into a T32 that got position on me and it was impossible to circle him.  Still had a middle of the pack performance but, not what I was hoping for.

I don't have a crew specific to the Knight,  but my British crews I start with SS, BIA Camo, Sit Aware, Repair, which are good, basic skills for most tanks.

Smooth Ride, Snap Shot and Deadeye work ok on the Knight, (Cromwell Crew),  so I would suggest Camo and View skills, followed by gun handling skills.

Great tank.  I'm glad I bought it.  But to be honest, I haven't played it much.  I also got the CDC and I am trying to take every advantage of the x2 crew xp bonus so I am running French tanks like they are going out of style.  I actually completely the first CDC op playing only French tanks.

You should not train any skills "for the Knight." You need to rotate other crews through the Knight to make use of its premium tank crew training properties. So you should use the Knight to train whatever crew for whatever skill you want that crew to have for its own home tank.

You might want to train safe stowage, the ammo rack is a little weak and because you're going to be flanking and side on sometimes, it's even weaker. I racked on yesterday in mine as one tried to ram me. ~Felt a bit sorry for him but all's fair in love and war.

I tried mine with GLD but it didn't make a huge amount of difference and the DPM and view range was noticeably worse so I took it off and put vents back on.

I purchased it as a crew trainer as the excelsior can be a little slow at times missing out on the big xp. The speed has got me into trouble more times than not, but my god what a fun tank to play.
