Hello tankers!!

 

Please share your feedback related to the maps in 3.1

 

Maps

Dragon Ridge: New terrain and layout of props. Map borders expanded out. Updated map ambiance audio. Spawn adjustments for Standard and Team Destruction. (YEY! This one was a hot topic in the forums :P )

 

Storm Maps added

Erlenberg Snowstorm: Divided by a river, this map offers three main avenues of attack.  A bridge in the center is situated among the ruins of a small town.  Terrain around the northern and southern bridges offers a small amount of cover.  With a blizzard at hand, your visibility and radio range will be reduced.

 

Steppes Sandstorm: Generally open, this map allows you to strike in multiple directions, but don't disperse your forces too much.  A road in the center will take you to the enemy base more directly, but perhaps with greater difficulty.  The edges of the map may offer better avenues for attacks and feints.  Steppes's big sandstorm will impact tanks and will cause low visibility and radio range.

I so far have only played the Blizzard which was really awesome. from what I saw I can expect the sandstorm to be awesome as well

Havent played Dragon Ridge yet.

Dragon Ridge is a lot more fun especially for a fast tank, you got drifting spots and ramps to give you big air time. I like snow storm just wish that the snow would collect on the side of the tanks that was facing the wind. Sandstorm is cool had a guy tell me "it's close to the real thing" just thought it was on the wrong map because Steppe isn't a sand ground, sand river would of been a better option.

only seen dragon ridge so far which is miles better now .as for the other 2 :( still waiting

I think the weather effects are very impressive. It would be nice if in a future update they could get a bit of randomized timing though. So the effect gets heavy then dies down while affecting your radar, etc. 

 

And Dragon ridge is much better.

erlenberg blizzard is cool... Steppes sandstorm is not so cool cause the view range is too limited.

The blizzard and sandstorm are sweet. Erlenberg is usually the same old camping fest and blizzard pretty much does away with that. I also like being able to go in the creek without drowning. Steppes is pretty sweet with limited visibility. I think the weather effects make for more interesting battles, and bring out different skills and tactics you don't always see. They make situational awareness all that more important. Also, like everyone else, I was on the bandwagon of hating Dragon Ridge. I haven't played the new one too many times but from what I can tell, it's 100 times better for whatever that's worth. Keep up the good work.

Like it how you can really hear the sound of sand touching the turret while in sniper view.

The frozen river on Erlenberg opens up new ways how to play the map.

 

Blizzard and Sandstorm are both great additions to the variety of map types.

Played sandstorm a couple of times (looks AWESOME btw), but wish radio range was decreased drastically as well.  In fact radio range should be as minimal as possible.  Once you get spotted by a closer-than-normal enemy, shots start flying in from who knows where and if in a lightly armored tank, you pretty much are dead sooner than later.

I think it would be really neat if you have to rely almost solely on visual range to engage an opponent.  Kinda like a "weather hard core variant".

im sorry but i cant stand playing sandstorm & blizzard im not complaining for you to remove them but if you could do something that would allow for the individual player to shut them off so its just taken out of that persons rotation of maps please because that game style is very annoying to play especially when you have 15 players not communicating with each other. But i did love what you did with dragon ridge and sacred valley. also i really liked the buff with the is7 thanks for that. An again please do something about that new game style blizzard & sandstorm I HATE IT!!!!!!!!

The changes to dragon ridge make the matches go faster and add a bit of variability to the games; the map is more enjoyable. 

 

The weather effects of sandstorm and blizzard are interesting but players need to know actual stats changes to players the percentage change to their camo, visual range, and radio range. This should be listed in the game not the forums. Alternatively a tutorial to help familarize players would be beneficial. These maps currently are unenjoyable because whole paltoons will suddenly be seen by a scouting tank and destroyed by the usually camping suspects on that map. This has only increased camping in campin-burg and it continues to be a least favorite map for all I play with. Radio range changes might be an easy fix to this problem or 'freezing' camping tanks.

I'm really pleased with the new map changes, the guys that worked on them should be proud of their work.

 

Dragon Ridge is a lot easier to play now, especially with my heavies.

 

The weather effects are awesome, the sandstorm on Steppes really helps to immerse me in the game and adds greatly to the confusion of battle and reinforces the realism.

 

I like the snowy conditions at Erlenberg the best. Freezing the river gives us a whole new map, since we can now drive ON the river, decreasing the necessity of having to seize a crossing point and opening up places for flanking.

 

My only complaint is I haven't seen the new maps enough. Please up the rotation! Good job :)

Hello, are you playing the correct tiers to see the new storm maps? They are tier 9 and 10 battles only.

​Please no sandstorm for Sand River the map is competitive and great as is, ok maybe better cover for the flag areas especially for arty's on standard battle. As for the map changes First sandstorm: as a picture and sound it's great and maybe it's just me but the view range negative effect seems to be limited to the one side ( if spawned on the side with railroad it would be the canyon and hills on the right side of the map.) The other side of the map still seems to provide full view range. The blizzard is just great especially the frozen river opening different attack and defend angles. No quick comment on Dragon Ridge for me yet cuz I need to play it more. It still feels like the one side has the better chance to win ( The team that spawns on the side were a left turn takes you out to river/lake or former suicide area, still seems to win more.) .

Excellent Map configurations.

The lack of Rendering of the radio coverage = killing this game! 

The Render limitation = killing this game! 564 meters ≠ beyond the range of a tier X tank's Gun!
The Render limitation = forcing players to move up and get detected.

The Render Limitation = the reason why everything seems over powered, you are just too close to the WT AUF E100!
The Render Limitation = cancelling out good game play tactics and total '3D board' game play. It is not professional. it is Amateurishness!
