Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

Some of you may know me as the guy with the pinned encyclopedia thread.

In that thread I post all the data extracted from the WoT Xbox Encyclopedia, and also includes hidden data found nowhere else.

A few days ago I noticed WG has updated the site and now also includes silver multipliers and xp bonuses!

Sadly, you can not see them by simply loading up the encyclopedia. But if you dig a bit deeper they are there, and since people are always discussing silver and xp earning from different tanks I figured this thread might help a bit.

So without further delay, here are the results:

Silver Multipliers

Every tank in World of Tanks gets a unique silver multiplier. These multipliers range from 0,53 at the lowest up to 1,81 at the highest.

But before you go any further, guess which tank do YOU think has the king-of-the-hill multiplier of 1,81? It is a premium....

Give up?

It's the tank we all love to hate. Outclassed in almost every way by its American brother....

The U.K. Sexton I.

Yes, the U.K. Sexton I might not be the best statistically, but reigns supreme in a hidden stat unknown up to this point in time.

I must say I was very surprised by this, and I don´t doubt the rest of the community will be too.

To give you some more data:

Top 5 Premium Multipliers Top 5 Non Premium Multipliers Top 5 Worst Premium Multipliers Top 5 Worst Non Premium Multipliers
U.K. Sexton I: 1,81 Vickers Medium Mk I.: 1,637 Pz.Kpfw. 38H 735 (f): 0,9 AMX 50 foch (155): 0,53
M6A2E1: 1,67 Renault FT: 1,63 F224 AMX Chaffee: 1 T22 Prototype: 0,53391
Löwe: 1,65 Renault NC-31: 1,419 T-34-88: 1 FV 215b (183): 0,583
T14: 1,62 T1 Cunningham: 1,365 Tetrarch: 1,09 FV 4005 Stage II: 0,6
M3 Light and  T23E3: 1,6 G. Pz. Mk. VI: 1,33 Pz IV GUP: 1,1 Waffenträger auf E100: 0,6

So we see that even the worst premium tank multipliers are still fairly good. Other than that, one can also see that classically "OP" tanks have lower silver multipliers (I'm not going to go into the discussion whether that balances them).

I also created some graphs showing the Silver Multipliers in graphs:

Including Premiums
Excluding Premiums

XP bonuses

The xp bonuses work slightly different than the silver multiplier.

First, we are NOT talking about a multiplier. A bonus of 0.5 is a 50% xp bonus, whereas a silver multiplier of 1,5 is needed for that same 50% boost to silver.

Second, Non-premium tanks do not have a xp bonus mentioned (not even 0). I therefore assumed they were all 0.

Since many same-tiered vehicle share the same bonus I will not make a table. But I will show you a graph:

XP bonuses

A few things to note about the XP multipliers:

  • XP bonuses roughly decrease with 0,1 when you go up a tier going from 0,7 at tier 2 to 0,1 at tier 8
  • The Chuchill III, known for its good crew training, does not get a higher XP bonus. The bonus is 0,4 just like many other tier 5 tanks.
  • The T-34-88 and AMX Chaffee, which were marketed as being good crew trainers, do not have the highest tank bonus in the game. Coming in at 0,5 each they get a bonus similar to tier 4 tanks. They are still good crew trainer since they are dual-crew trainers and very powerful.
  • Elite vehicles (and therefore premiums) get a 1.25x multiplier towards crew xp.
  • EDIT: the T-34-88 and the AMX Chaffee get an extra crew xp bonus on top of the bonus for being elite vehicles, which still makes them very good crew trainers despite not having the highest tank XP bonus.
  • The PZ V/IV (Rampanzer) gets a relatively low XP bonus of 0,3. This is what most tier 6 tanks get.
  • The highest XP bonus goes to tier 2 tanks with a bonus of 0,7.

With both the silver multiplier and xp bonuses I left the Spectre and the Lunar out of the highest/lowest ranking since they are special tanks and receive neither silver nor xp.

You can find this data in the following file for all tanks: https://drive.google...eVlEM2RKRjlycnc

This data might be outdated when a new update hits, but it will kept up to date in the full encyclopedia in the following thread: http://forum-console...dated-31-05-16/

If you have any question feel free to ask :)

The 34-88 and am Chaffee also get 1.5x crew bonus instead of the standard 1.25x that other premium/elite tanks get. So, that is worth noting.

The kv220 seems to get a higher xp bonus too. If you have premium, your total xp will be over 2x your base. Don't know what that works out too.

Good info. Thanks.

I think I remember in a different thread that Max or someone said the 34-88 and AMX Chaffee get an additional bonus to crew XP beyond the overall XP bonus they get.  So whatever XP you see in the results screen is enhanced by the bonus and added to the crew's training.  I'm just going on memory on this though.  I think it was an additional 25%.

Edit: the poster above me may be correct.  My memory isn't perfect.

Hmm I thought that tank XP = Crew XP.

Because the 34-88 and the AMX do both get a 1.5 multiplier (=0.5 bonus), so maybe that could be it?

If not then they would be pretty special getting an additional crew xp multiplier on top of this one.

The two dual nation crew trainers get an additional crew Xp bonus on top of the normal accelerated crew bonus.

Well you do have to take into account shell cost, repair cost, damage potential etc.

I never played the Mutant, but its pen seems pretty weak meaning less damage potential.

And the Jt 88 shells are dirt cheap meaning more money left over after firing, whilst still sporting about 2/3 of the damage the Löwe/mutant gets.

Multipliers are just one term in the equation

Mutant even with it's meh pen is still a great tank. Tall as a skyscraper and armor really is great. :D The Lowe is a sniper and the pen for it really helps as well. Love both of them. But not as much as my T34. :D

It's pen is fine. 198 is better than most other same tier premiums. All in all the mutant is a really good tank especially so after the armour buff it got with 3.0

Elite tanks and since tank XP equals Crew XP, whatever tank you earn the most XP in on average. That will be the best one for you to use.

Hey Max, thanks for replying. All my tanks are elite, Got a bunch of 9's and 10's.  Only 2 premium tanks but there both Russian.

Is there any lower tiers that i can buy that are good for crew training. Tier 8 and under

Some of my 9's and 10's I started with a new crew.

Playing with only 1 or 2 perks can have a disadvantages.

Depends on the nation, and whether you want a premium or a non premium vehicle.

I really like the T2 light, since it is super fast.

If you are looking for non premium tanks, take one you enjoy and do well in. As far as I can find, there are no xp bonuses for non premium tanks, which means that it doesn't matter which regular tank you pick. If it's fun you won't mind grinding, and if you do well you will get a lot of xp whilst doing it.

i think you personally get more xp for a cap. it is better to get the kill though.

dmg = money and xp

kill = a bit more xp

cap = participation trophy

This really boils down to preferred tier and tank class/style as well as nationality.

For Americans I'd personally run with the M4 Sherman or the Jumbo w/derp for both tanks. Low tier + cheap HE shells + derp = easy xp and silver.

The French is a bit more ticky-tacky. I'd probably go with the S35-CA (the little blue bathtub of death) with the big gun cause slapping a KV-1 for 300 hp is hilarious.

The Chinese have a couple mid-tier options. Either the tier 6 light (59-16) or the tier 5 med (Type T-34).

The Japanese have a couple solid options. Tier 8 (STA-1) or tier 7 Chi-Ri. I'm not really a fan of their lower tier tanks, they seem somewhat underpowered compared to the rest of the field.

The Russians: take your pick, there's so many good choices.

For the British I'd definitely pick up either the Cromwell or the Comet. They're both tons of fun.

Germany: pick something you like.

Obviously this is just my opinion, your mileage may vary. ;)
