Ahh! I'm not getting the new maps! Very frustrating. I'm getting all the maps I would normally be happy to see--Cliff, Lakeville, Prok, Mal, Murovanka, Himmelsdorf--but not Sandstorm or Blizzard. I got Dragon Ridge, but Team Destruction, which has no strategy and is extremely stupid.

So I've pretty much tolerated this stinking crap pile for most of my day. I just played a match in my AMX 30 (great tank btw) and got killed by a waffle that was completely undetected until I was literally able to touch gun barrels with him. I'm cool with the whole "sand reduces visibility" thing, but seriously come on now that's bullcrap. Anyone else feel the same? No? Pls comment.

On a separate note, I love the AMX 30 Prot. With the 105. The 90mm is ok and adequate for its tier, but rarely cuts the mustard at tier ten. I suspect the tier ten will be a fine tank. On that WG, well done.

The AMX 30b is a poor mans leopard 1. The tier 9 AMX 30 1er proto is the highlight IMO.

Ok, I had one game on Sandstorm today. I really liked the visuals. It looked great, and I actually found the map disorienting.  So that's awesome. And it changed my normal strategy and play. I was able to make a couple moves that I wouldn't normally make on Steppes. That's great too. I really like that it plays differently. On the downside, I did get killed by a TD that was never spotted. That is a little annoying and I don't yet know what to think about the view range mechanics. It'll take some more games for me to reach a conclusion.

when i first saw the vid by the bearded guys is was like

whoa!!  xbone is capable of that??!!

i think the sand one looks better than the winter one but it's always harder to make liquid look more realistic than solids anyways...

I like them but I think radio range should have been nerfed way more on these maps.

WG Balance 101, If a tank has a high survival rate, nerf its gun.

You know what happens when people can't see?

They camp even harder.

Reducing visibility on Erlenberg? Where everyone camps anyway?

Are you kidding me? Just make it a WWI infantry game and we'll all dig trenches.

Haven't played them myself but it sounds like they took two open maps where Heavies were at a disadvantage and made it so Heavies now have the advantage like the other corridor maps. Can't say I'm looking forward to playing them now. :(

Played 23 battles yesterday I think.

Didn't get either weather maps but did get one game on DR.

Life is good for as long as I don't have to play these maps it seems.

adapt, improvise, overcome. use the new map features to your advantage and dont forget to turn that frown upside down! Kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out! :izmena:

You've got to be in a tier 6 light or a tier 7+

I have Verdun in Steam, I can confirm there is less camping in a WW1 trench warfare FPS.

Got Sandstorm and the Blizzard map today whilst playing solo. Just returned straight to the garage.

Got them whilst platooning and just charged strasight down the middle, died, went for piss. Great success.

Not a big surprise as this didn't work too well in the supertest. Then again when have WG ever listened?
