Hello WG, First I know this has been a well talked about subject so dont eat me alive. 2nd. I would like to say i am all for being historic accuracy when you can with this game. But that being said can we see a buff the engine power on the T26E4 Super Pershing/Freedom? The tier VI Ford GAF V8 with 500hp is just under powered in my eyes. For example climbing hills on even the new Dragon Ridge, West Field, Scorpion Pass I get if im lucky 6 to 10 kph. Now im not asking for 1200hp (like some French tanks) or anything crazy but maybe, tier VII Ford GGA at 520hp or the tier VII Ford GAN at 560hp like you have on the tier VII T-20 medium tank. I know that the T26E4 weighs in at 53 tons fully equipped and have a lot of spaced armor but what is the point if we can't get up a hill and get into battle to use it and there are other tanks from other nations that could use a little love in the engine bay. But we have to start somewhere thanks. P.S. this is the first time i made a topic so please let me know what you all thank. Can't wait to see what the poll says.

I think the superpershing is capable as is. It's sluggish but that helps to balance it. It's a medium that thinks it's a heavy.

Edit: As a side note, I don't take mine terribly close to the enemy anyway, stay back a little and they'll struggle mightily to hit the frontal weakspots.

It already has good frontal armor. If WG made it faster, it would be too unbalanced IMO.

Doubt it would make it imbalanced as it's not that special in the first place

Will WG ever have WoT offline like they promised?

Though it costs Silver putting the higher octane fuel in the tank really helps its performance. With the amount of Silver the thing usually makes you should still make a profit.

Personally I'd like an engine boost, but it doesn't need it.

 Screw my elders!!!!

Like i said "i am all for being historic accuracy when you can" and " Now im not asking for 1200hp like some French tanks or anything crazy" but this is a game and there are other tanks that are not historical. And that is cool too but because I used the t-20 as example lets look at it. Bye the way I got this info from (Wikipedia) so please don't put me in front of the firing squad. Only info i could find

Ford GAN V8 engine with torque converter and Hydra-matic transmission 76 mm gun M1 and horizontal volute suspension r

T20E1: 75 mm automatic gun and horizontal volute suspension. This version was cancelled and the turret used on the T22E1

T20E2: 3 inch gun and torsion bar suspension. Completed as the T20E3.

T20E3: 76 mm gun and torsion bar suspension

Of the above only the T20 and T20E3 were completed, the T20E3 being converted from the T20E2 prototype. The T20 series was deemed unsuccessful on the grounds that the transmission was subject to excessive oil leaks and overheating.[2]

Armor 62 mm
Main
armament
76 mm M1 gun
70 rounds
Secondary
armament
2x .30 cal Browning M1919 MG
6,000 rounds
Engine Ford GAN V-8
470 hp (350 kW)
Power/weight 17.26/ton
Suspension HVSS (Horizontal Volute Spring Suspension)
Operational
range
160 km (99 mi)
Speed 40 km/h (25 mph)

Now this is stats from WG console.

Weight / Load limit  28.79/30t

Engine Power h.p     520 stock,  560 max

Hull Armor mm     front 64 / sides 51 / rear 38

Turret Armor mm    front 89 / sides 64 / rear 64

Gun mm     76mm / 90mm / 105mm (derp)

As you can see the the real tank and the game tank are not equal and i am fine with it. Just trying to give the reasons why it could be done thanks for your input

I highly disagree. That tank is an absolute monster when played correctly.

I am already taking the mickey in the Super Pershing.  It would feel like easy mode if it had mobility to go with its firepower and protection at its current tier.

I think it's fine as is, but I'd trade the PMM for more engine power and better pen.

So you want riot shield armour, the ability to spread democracy and freedom, AND the ability to move? No, mother America does not need this.

Right finally I can comment on this thread.

No, It doesnt need an upgraded engine, I bought the tank 3 updates ago with the intention of buying another american crew trainer and If anything judging by the games I had in it. The tank In no way shape or form needed any sort of buff to compensate for anything lol I was fail platooning it into tier X games and shredding randoms with it I got my 3rd Mark of excellence on the 2nd day of playing it and 100% damage standing on my 3rd. The things I loved about the T26E4 which doesnt get really any credit is the gun itself. The AP pen sucks however the gun handling is absolutely insane along with the combined RoF and Armor it just makes up for a nasty surprise on maps like Ruinberg and Himmelsdorf.

I havent played the T26E4 since I got my damage standing and I hear that its been buffed recently so I may have to give it a go lol :teethhappy:

I thought we were talking about the Super Pershing  (The T26E4) not the T20 series?

Again thanks for posting and I do wish this keeps going a lot of info is going to people so thanks. I used the T-20 as an example Because in the game it has just a little bit more horsepower then the Super Pershing  (The T26E4) at 20 to 60hp. more. And I pulled up the Real and Game stats of the T-20 to also use as an example of it could be done. As you can see the difference in real hp.and game hp.  Now if I'm wrong please point it out to me the T26E4 with 500hp at 53tons max is 9.43hp per ton. IF it had 520hp at 53tons max that would be 9.81hp per ton and at 560hp at 53tons its 10.56hp per ton. I LOVE MY FREEDOM  its bounce city all i am saying is would it be a little more fun with a little more horsepower?
