it not about my settings its about badmouth ppl .. i do mute the idiots  .. but why is it still in game .. thats what gets me !!

My question is why are these people idiots? Are they idiots because they don't share your narrow minded idea of what language is? To me you sound like an imbecile that wants to shove his opinions down everybody else throats. That is why in North America there is freedom of speech. If you don't like it don't play online or mute them.

Because dopamine? Lol I don't swear, but I don't care if people swear either. As long as I'm not hearing screaming rage over the mic it's fine. Lol

I can't blame people who swear over their mics.

Plz can someone tell me why

What do you expect from someone that sits alone, on his couch, in his home, when they get upset about what happened in the game? It's not like he can see the kids or he is aware of them, to check his language. People behave as if they are alone and most people are not used to behave when they're alone.

Look on the bright side though: English is not a very inventive language when it comes to swearing. Other languages get much more descriptive and inventive - they can mix you and family members with religion and body parts and by-products that might make you sit for a while just to piece the action together. :)

Personally, I prefer swearing to the inane comments and background chatter I experienced in this game while using comms. Now I have them disabled and it's all fine.

Well anyone can swear but a good thoughtful creative bout of interesting cursing is a talent shared by few and good for the soul.

I'll never get why people dislike swearing so much. They're just words like any other, but you only hate them because they bear the label of a "swear". It's childish.

This--so much this. The words themselves only have meaning because a majority of people have agreed to label those words as "profanity". I can say "Well cluck you, motherclucker" and obviously mean "[edited]". Saying something different doesn't change the intent behind the words. It is childish.

Your red-buttton issue is swearing - mine is grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Sometimes, you have to turn a blind-eye/deaf-ear to the behaviour of others when it becomes too upsetting.

I love the people who think they get First Amendment rights in a private service provided by a private company. You abide by the rules the company sets, you do not have the same protections you would have in a public space. If you (OP) have an issue with the way others are behaving, you can complain to the company providing the service, ie. Microsoft.

That being said, you should remember the old adage, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but, words can never hurt me." In other words, if you are being "hurt" by the language being used, you should look inwards to find out what it is, in you, that causes you to be injured by that language. Because, "you" are the one injuring yourself through your perception of those words. Perhaps you were raised to be an adult child, who seeks out a comforting and non-threatening environment that does not actually exist? Whatever "your" issue is with language, it is "your" problem to deal with and overcome. Perhaps if your parents had raised an adult instead of a large child, you would not be here making unreasonable requests of the rest of us to treat you with kid-gloves. Please grow up soon, the real world is even harsher than you can imagine.

This kind of stuff gets to my nerves. you should never speak against free speech. [edited]in my country its already taken away :( I cant believe it.. I know its not right that youre kid needs to hear profanity, but then you tell him not to play the game, or set it so that you only hear friends speak. Or disaple all communications! Its totally pointless to come here in forums to tell how upset you are.  Everyone knows knows in online games you get cursing and all sort of bad stuff. get real.

Being ex military i have to be honest it is part of my vocabulary, majority of swear words are used to emphasis points or just general chat with me, i don't even realise i am doing it most of the time, no excuse just the way it is, if you have ever been military you will understand this and that is why you will never see me in game chat ever.
