Defending on Pacific Island - Typhoon!

Just curious to know, how many times the defending team has successfully defended the base in an encounter battle on Pacific Island -  Typhoon!

The game is completely free and will never be "pay to win".

I think assault and encounter should be removed on some of these maps. Example: on one of big newer maps ( can't think of name at the moment) the base is inside of the town but, the attacking team has the high ground and controls about 80% of the map right from the start.

i think assault should be removed in general, same feeling about standard battle, I'm okay with Encounter honestly, though in think they need to move some of the bases

I know the map you're referring to and about 4 of the 5 times I've been on the defending team we've won, you're supposed to lock the town down and let them come to you, the fact that they have 80% map control means nothing as they have to come to you anyway. Teams that all exit the town will inevitably lose as they turn the enemies map control into an advantage.

 

I enjoy assault but I'd certainly enjoy it more if teams that were defending actually defended rather than running out recklessly to die.

Nah. It just needs to be limited to either tier 8 or 7. It's too much of a cluster with tiers 9 and 10.

I wish they would make typhoon and sand

storm tiers 1-7 instead of what it is. I think it would be fun at lower tiers

I really don't mind sandstorm at the higher tiers. At the very least if I am spotted in sand storm I can pull back into cover and break line of sight. On typhoon you are kinda sol because of lack of decent cover. I mean really, where am I suppose to go? Run out into the ocean in the FGS E75? And may RNGesus save your tanking soul if the reds have a T92 or BC 155-58 on their team on Typhoon.

Another bad map for attack is Heilbron, its way to easy to defend in the city.

There's a lot of open ground to cross in heilbronn as the attacker.  If people would venture out of the city it really changes the game honestly.  That city just isn't bug enough for 15 people, you'll just get picked off slowly unable to support each other

Just because you're on "defense" doesn't mean you sit in the back and give away the best spots of the map. The opposite actually.

how do you opt out of playing it, this might help others avoiding certain maps

World of tanks Auto lock edition,  because aiming shouldn't be a skill.

So if you get put in a game with Typhoon you'll just not play and put your team at a disadvantage?
