I tell yuh, I've suffered through a stock E-75, E-50, T95, M103, & a O-Ho stock, But Never in my days of tanking have I seen a more pathetic excuse for a tank than a stock ST-I!:sceptic: seriously WarGaming how do you expect this thing to fight through a grind like that? It's practically asking for people to throw money at it so they can free Xp the darn thing. Your ineffective on the battlefield, the teir VIII gun literally shoots spit balls at the reds, & people look down on you & can't expect things from this tank. All it's good for stock is being a shell blocker & a big decoy. 68k is taking me forever to grind through, cant WG just buff the stock to be a bit better? I almost have to push myself to grind the ST-I.

Can you "get gud" in a stock ST-I? Answer, No. You try to pull it off with all your unicummings skills It's impossible, Unless the reds are dumb & you get lucky with them but thats rare.:deer:

Please tell me the next upgrade is better...:D

Also I saw the IS-4 Stock has the same teir VIII gun... God save us!

They make you pay big time for the reward.

Trust me, both are worth triple the pain you feel at this time.

You don't even have to grind the is-4, since the gun is mandatory, or least you'll probably get it. It's just there to add another 300-400k silver cuz.

Seems you don't have the bl-9 from the IS line... yeah, that's one of the reasons I put the KV line on hold till I finished the IS line or at least got the bl-9. Odd hiccup in the line.

IS-4 never has to use that gun however. You can upgrade without any XP cost. Should have done the IS line first you'd have had the BL9 and the M62 by the time you completed the grind on the T-10

This, the light at the end of the tunnel will blind you when you get there.

Fight through the stock grind, the final package makes it worth it, and on bad games, just tell yourself "bad XP I'd better than no XP", it'll help with the long grind (like the E75's final package lol).

yeah I never really got the motivation to go up the IS-7 line, mainly cause people keep saying it's bad But I know that's not true, I stopped at the IS teir VII & I'm close to the IS-3 it's just when I face an upgraded ST-I or IS-4 they'll rock your world, That line just seemed more appealing to me.

Worst stock grind in the game for sure, but you get the best heavy in the game imo

It's like going through the Sturer Emil to get to the Borsig.

I did the IS-3 first so I played one game with the stock package for kicks.

They buff pen on the tiger 131 to make it more competitive at higher tiers . Why cant the turd 122mm D-25T get the same treatment ?

That'd probably lead to much silliness at tier 7.  It's totally viable, not great, at tier 8. Tier 9 though... guess it's just those lines' rite of passage. Pentance for all the alpha/armor fun of the tiers prior and stuff later.

I find the accuracy/aim time slightly more annoying. Mix all three, oh joy! Yet to experience it on the ST-I myself, but based on the other 2 tier 9's it'll be fantastic...

I meant just buff it for the tier 9 and 10s . I find it kind of retarded you are forced into a position where you cant use the IS-4s historical gun competitively .

Hmm, I suppose they could get better rof mixed with some accuracy/aim time using the 217 pen apcr as standard(o-ho basically does this with the o-ni's 10cm). Slap in some heat or something as its premium if need be. Have less pen than M62 or whatsit, resulting in less alpha/pen for dpm/velocity. Ofcourse can't go too fast with the rpm, but someone mentioned something similiar before.

It all about how you play it and who you play it with. Fully stock first time playing the ST-I

What ever tactic you use is legit, but if the enemy does it then its a cheap unfair OP noob tactic.

I avoid stock grinding by slowing down my tank lines and generating free XP from my other tanks like prems and using premium time.

I use that generated free XP to upgrade a tank line fully so I don't handicap myself. Playing a gimped tank is painful
