Thank you for listening to us old decrepit, disabled, physically challenged folks. Now please get to work on restoring the old mini map, remove the invisible walls and dampen the twitchy, barrel rolling tanks and all will be well, from my viewpoint anyway!

Great... those of us that have no problem hitting buttons gets punished for those that do. That WG, is a terrible responses. Install a d-pad cruise with handbrake. Why you didn't see the complains coming ahead of time is beyond me. The persistence of your mistakes seems to boil down to not providing diversity in choice and understanding what changes players want. Get Gud WG, get Gud.

Some constructive bits for ya: expand your player testing base, do some polling data on us before you make changes or introduce new "packages". Outside of this the update is great, keep making it better, just get us involved more.

Any news on the battle ended bug. Had it happen again twice more this morning even after the hotfix.

Never had it before the last update.

If you have any repro steps, please send them over to me on a PM.  We have an active ticket open.

that's not a problem anymore, what we all want now is the hand brake back on the stick because some of us know how to control our thumbs and don't click down on the stick unless we want our brake

I know it's not the problem for people like YOU. But it's still a problem for people like me, all control schemes are kinda fumbly IMO. Not one feels natural. But remapping the hand break to A really works, it doesn't feel fumbly at all.

Added benefit to this fix. People like you get the hand break back on left joy stick. It's a win win solution.  ;)

I'll speak for me. The older I get, my fine motor skills deteriorate. Additionally because of the kind of work I do, I don't have much feeling left in my thumb and forefinger of either hand. The D-Pad cruise setup for me allows me the ability to circle tanks without disengaging the CC because of clicking the LS accidentally.

The handbrake is a good idea. I feel pretty sure when they come up with a suitable fix, they will restore it

Edit:  Because of fat fingers I had to edit this post twice

:D

You spoke for me as I have the same problems plus arthritis in my thumb.

i dont understand peoples problems with the handbrake on left stick. wouldnt that mean they had a problem with always using cruise control before

the handbake was introduced. why do they complain now?

The reason I use the D pad Is due to HAVING TROUBLE WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON THE STICKS. The D pad is the only controller configuration that does not have the cruise control on the stick. Maye WG could leave the hand brake off the stick, put the handbrake on A button(xbox) and put the ammo change to down on pad while doing away with the reverse cruise control.

and that is why me and others are asking for either customizable controls OR just give us that liked it our own cruise control d pad mapping WITH the stick as hand brake, just copy paste what was there Tuesday and on BAM done that was the only things I posted for about 3 hours Friday night, they can see they need it for us who used it.

@MaxChaos24

Why did the Radial Command Menu need to be moved for the Handbrake controller layout? Why couldn't Change Ammo Type have been moved from the A Button to Down D-pad (like it currently is), and just put handbrake on the now unused A Button?

The Radial Command Menu is basically unusable on the Handbrake controller layout. Were there really that many accidental consumable button presses with it on A?

I agree that moving radial message menu from LB to D-pad Down and putting handbrake on LB would be a better choice.  That way, radial message menu stays on the left hand.  With the radial message menu moved to A and change ammo type to D-pad Down, one has the challenge of remembering to use the opposite hand to access those two features.  If they would move cruise control from LS click to D-pad Up, that would be even better.

Please just make a D-Pad Cruise Control Scheme B with the handbrake on L3/L Joystick Press. It was logical being there and gave me no problems, now I am struggling with a foreign control scheme just to be able to use handbrake.

Yes, please. There are many of use that use the d-pad cruise control scheme that want to use the handbrake as it was just assigned.

Wargaming... please do this layout: D pad up/down=cruise forward/back,  D pad right=reload clip, D pad left=change ammo type, LB=handbrake, RB=lock target/auto aim, RT fire, LT aim,  L3 (Toggle left joystick) =cycle radial commands, R3(Toggle right stick)=zoom,  Tap A=highlights target and requests fire, Hold A=access radial commands, X/Y/B=equipment slots... please please please

Please, please, please, bring back hand brake on the D-Pad Cruise Control Scheme. Hand brake was perfect on the D-Pad Cruise Control Scheme, because your can break and turn with one motion. There is no reason to push down on the L stick unless, a. You want hand brake, or b. You panic.

Another option is to make and alternate D-Pad Cruise Control Scheme that includes the hand brake.

My feedback: Please add either the ability to disable the handbrake, or a second d-pad cruise control layout with handbrake re-enabled.

Any idea when the handbrake will be reassigned to the LS on the D-pad CC scheme? Having to hit D-pad down to brake is extremely unnatural. It only works when you want to come to a complete stop. You can't use it to turn unless you want your turret facing a different direction, which is combat is not a good thing and essentially takes your gun out of the fight.

I have a feeling this won't end well anyways, but please for the love of god, don't give us an "improved" version of the old compass... most importantly, don't change the scale of the original.*

*That means make it zoomed back to the level it was at for the last 3 years. I fear I need to be as specific as possible. :sceptic:

If you have even semi competent control over your hands, it is very simple to use the dpad down to use handbrake and still aim and fire. I'm not the most coordinated guy around and it is simple enough. I use the default layout because I never bothered to check the others out, and I can still function just fine with dpad handbrake. Instead of spending your time moaning about every little issue, just try and adjust yourself to the situation. Its easier for an individual to make minor adjustments than for a developer to make millions of changes for each individual

And to clarify, I am able to easily powerslide with handbrake and still fire effectively at the same time
