Hello tankers!

 

Just as our last Ranked Battle Sessions...

 

We want it all!: Your feedback on scoring, feedback related to matchmaking, feedback on tanks, feedback related to the engagement as a team or as a solo player; in-game bugs (please report these ASAP and also let us know which console you are in!); suggestions; concerns.  WE WANT ALL THE FEEDBACK!!!

 

A way you can help us is by sharing what part of RB you did not like or agree with; proceed to explain why, and then, if you have a suggestion on how we can improve your experience with RB please let us know! :)  If you don't have a suggestion, that's ok too ;)

 

See what I mean?  We want substantial and tangible feedback we can use in order to analyze and hopefully improve your experience with RBs.  The more descriptive you are, the better.

I wouldn't mind a crew XP bonus as an incentive to play RB.

Too many heavy tanks. In all matchs the heavy are 50%. Its absurd!

I personally feel that this mode should only be done in team destruction. Seeing a lot of base captures.

PLATOON MATCHMAKING

 

I tend to play solo a lot. Matches with one or more platoons affect the game significantly. In games which the platoon(s) on my team

make up at least half of the team and don't play well, I am not able to carry the team even if I take out 5-6 tanks. Same things goes

if platoons on the enemy team don't play well. Games last about 3 min. This really kills the joy.

 

It would be nice if each platoon's stat average can be calculated and put into games accordingly. Or try make matches in which

teams mostly consist of platoons. Solo players can be added in to fill the gaps. But again, platoon stat averages should be taken

into account.

I seem to do really well in the game, lose and lose a shed load of points and this is on going in near enough every game I lose. It seems that whilst I'm being put in games of people in lower leagues than myself for MM purposes, I am not being properly compensated for poor teams. I'm not beating around the bush when I say that and it's clear and obvious that there are other people in the same boat as me.

 

I seem to need to win 2-3 games to make up the same amount of points for 1 loss despite doing the best

I lose a game after coming top and carrying and lose 36 points, I win the next game after carrying with over 2k damage and only get 15 points. My league position is untenable and its pointless to leave the match in the arms of MM and RNG as to if we can win.

Ranked Battles still needs serious changes.. 

My main gripe is that the entire point system is based on wins, you cant gain any in a loss.. 

This point system needs to be done away with, as does the ridiculous ranks such as grand master and the likes..

If ranked battles is based solely on wins, which it should be, then a proper rank system needs to be put in place.

This ranked system would be as such:

 

- Everyone starts out at rank 25

 

- The goal is to reach rank 1

 

- In order to reach the next rank you must obtain a certain amount of stars

 

- Stars are obtained and lost by either winning or losing

 

- The amount of stars required starts out at 2 and increases by 1 every 5 ranks

 

- It is possible to lose your ranks by losing consecutive games

 

- However, certain ranks are permanent

 

- Ranks 25-20 are all permanent, meaning once you obtain it you cannot go back

 

- Ranks 15, 10, 5, and 1, are also permanent and you will be unable to lose them once you reach them

 

- Your rank determines who you play against in ranked battles

 

- Ranks 25-20 will play each other, Ranks 19-15 play each other, Ranks 14-10, Ranks 9-5, and Ranks 4-1

 

- The above can be changed to balance out low queue numbers

 

- At the end of the season, your rank determines prizes that you are eligible for

 

- These such prizes could vary between silver, boosts, gold, garage slots, tanks, or medals

 

- If medals were made prizes, one could also make it so if you obtain a certain amount of rank 1 medals, you can exchange them for prizes

 

I am hoping for feedback on this, especially feedback from jeff, max, pain, or other WG devs.

This is personally something that I believe we need to push for if we want ranked battles to even be worth playing.

Let alone for it to not be broken as they are now.

which is why my suggestion above takes rng out of it.. aside from getting put onto bad teams... thats the mm though

Tier 7 or tier 8.  I won't even pretend to be interested in tier 5 battles.  You can put nice prizes into the ranked battles and I still won't play tier 5.  Much better tanks with better variation at the upper tiers.  

 

You would also find that many players would play nothing but ranked at tier 8 as this would make their tank always be top tier instead of having to face tier 10 tanks.

Agree with what Cruiser Abukuma is proposing. I play Ranked Battle (2nd season now) in World of Warships. That system is roughly what Cruiser is describing. The only exception is the top XP player in the loosing side won't loose rank if survives the loosing battle. You should be forced to use certain tier either for the whole event or for certain ranks. No matter what tier the organizer (WG) stipulate someone will complain, don't play if you don't like the rules. Make sure MM will force both sides to have same count of tank types. Prizes in WoWS for reaching each rank is generally better compare to WoT Console, more than just in game currency.

 

WoWS usually use 2 cap zones domination for ranked battles. Current season 6 they added epicenter to the loathing of many in in-game chat.

Even the silver isn't worth it. So far I've made just 190k & 35% on a skill on Wardaddy . Seen a few players AFK'ers? Lol. As it is, there is nothing really in this for anyone to keep playing it, it isn't worth the effort, maybe it does need some incentive, I think the full thing is too up and down. +21 pts for a win & -31 pts for a loss. Still don't get that ?.
