Just so people can see some examples from multiple perspectives post 4.2

I do apologize about my rambling and incorrect wording at times as i dont script my videos.

 

Added a small summary of both in this spoiler please refer to the video for Examples though.

the  basic vision mechanics have been the same since the Detection mechanic had been added to the game.

 

what has change since the start is how objects are rendered and appear on the screen as the changed from a square to a circular setup

 

Im working on one specifically dealing with the Detection circle and view range Cone next but wanted to get Sixth Sense Vs Detection done 1st since its a bit more important

Nice. Could you add what situational awareness and recon may add to this kind of situation? So, 6th sense + situational awareness + recon against being detected or spotted?

unfortunately that doesn't really do anything to these situations as those only effect View Range, there would really be nothing to add

Thanks for that. I've always treated them as both being bad without ever bothering about understanding the differences.

I'm just going to rewrite it since it's simple, the video just goes into alot more detail showing how things react in different situations.

 

Sixth Sense (Commander Perk- Console Ver.)

If you have Sixth Sense you will be notified immediately if you are Rendered on the enemy screen (with !Sixth Sense) , this disappears Immediately after you break enemy contact long enough to no longer be rendered on thier screen. Sixth Sense does not work if your Commander is Injured.

Targeted (In-Game Mechanic- Console Only)

The game will notify you if you're (!Tageted) only If 3 conditions are met, all of these conditions must be met in order for the game to notify you. There is no longer a delay before it appears.

 

  • You must be rendered to the enemy team
  • You must be targeted to where an enemy can see your Name and Information
  • The Targeting Enemy must not be in Artillery Strategic View (Overhead View)

 

The Targeted icon does not come on unless all 3 are met so it is possible to be fooled into thinking you are safe but still be shot at.

Nice Soviet!  I've never heard overhead review referred to as strategic before though.   

 

One thing I think to give extra emphasis on is that ONLY one player's name can be displayed at a time.  So if you are in a group and sixth sense has gone off but not targeted, you should still be wary that while someone is not immediately targeting you, they may be targeting your teammate who is between you and the red.  If that teammate pulls back quickly, you are left in the reds sights for a quick shot with targeted showing for very little time before the shot.  It may give the appearance of "snapshots."
