It is that time again!  World of Tanks Console Update 3.6 is here!!

 

Do please share your feedback with the following!

 

3.6 Update Sizes 

PS4: Approximately 19.7GB (required to compress update package)

Xbox One: Approximately 3.9GB

Xbox 360: Approximately 103MB Title Update + 1.47GB Patch Download

 

All Platforms

  • "What's New" information screen will display during the normal loading and synchronization process. 
  • Horizontal Stabilization feature in Options menu: A popular requested option has made its way to your game. You can now find the Horizontal Stabilization option under the Game Tab section. Enabling this feature will reduce the hull rotation's impact on your aim when in First Person or Sniper Mode. This will help you stay aimed on target while maneuvering your vehicle. 
  • Additional Control Schemes for Handbrake
    • Handbrake D-Pad Cruise Control
      • In this setup, Handbrake is done with the (A) button on Xbox and (X) button on PS4. Switching ammo types is "down" on the D-Pad.
    • Handbrake Click
      • Handbrake is activated by pushing the left-stick in.
  • 2 New British Camos: Two-Tone Universal Camouflage (Summer) and Dark Stone (Desert).
  • 3 New Czech Winter Camos: Winter Solid White, Two Tone and Vz.95 Leaf.
  • Premium vehicles added to tech tree:
    • AMX Chasseur de chars
    • T-54 first prototype
  • Armor Viewer available for Multi-tank Bundles.

  • Liberty Falls: Constructed to appear like an American fake test facility town, Liberty Falls features two urban areas (north and south) with a large bridge connecting the two sides.  The massive water fall to the west is visually stunning!  Liberty Falls is a Console Exclusive.

    • Texture updates to terrain/objects

The G.W. Panther looks like butt. It doesn't look like Dracula anymore. Nevermind the platforms, why did you change its turret? Was it to shave a few polygons off the armor model? The outgoing model looked more like the photo of Krupp's scale model (below) than the new doorstop turret and top-buttoned collar, so I don't understand the change. It looks clunky now.

Port is a better map now.

 

Ensk starting locations should be more West so you are not insta-spotted at high tiers on the East side, Or limit the map to like tier 6 max.

The new horizontal stabilization is nice.

Like that you added more premium tanks to the tech tree.

Weather maps are a terrible idea until the radio range gets reduced. I dont have an issue with the idea per se but the fact you reduce spotting range but allow huge radio means camping is rewarded and bravery is suicide. Terrible terrible implementation. I cant believe another has been added when theyre such a retard-fest as it is.

 

Port is massively improved.


Not a clue what "improved visibility circle" means. What did you improve?

 

Never once seen liberty falls in a hundred games, playing tier 6 or lower.

 

The new splash screen has had mixed reviews over at reddit, many people dislike it (probably because they dont realise it simply replaced the sherman) some are absolutely fine with it. But one consensus, and I agree, is that having to press B when its finished loading is irritating as you dont really notice it when it appears and can lead you to siting starting at it for longer. At least the sherman went straight to garage when it was done loading. Please remove that pointless feature.

 

Nice to see more premiums available in store.

You need to buff the British tier 10 tds he should round penetration neither 4005 nor 215b 183 hit for more then 700 anymore go back to the 250-410 penetration range. Was just getting use to how to play tank and now you changes it again not enthused about it. And 215b 183 turret armor need a little more like 260 mm of armor or 270mm

The lighting and shadow effects are gorgeous.

 

I was crossing the bridge in Port at night time when I noticed the level of detail from passing under the street lamps.  I spent a good amount of time rolling back and forth before helping the rest of my team that battle.

 

I also noticed that the aiming circle was reduced in overall thickness at some point.  I remember personally suggesting this months ago and thrilled that such minor details are considered in the content of the game, thank you!

Liberty Falls needs to be buffed in the map rotation in favor of taking out more common and/or older maps. I'm thinking most people will agree we see "classic" maps like Mines, Provohka, Morovanka and Cliff far too often. It'd be nice to go "oh, *insert classic map*, I haven't seen this in a while, should be fun" as opposed to "why has RNG-Jesus forsaken me! All I want to play are the new, fun maps, but instead I get old, out-played *insert classic map*"

 

I'm a daily player, and easily log around 20-40 matches a day. I've only seen it 2x since it's release. At this point, I'd have better odds winning the lottery than getting to see that map more than a dozen times in it's first month out.

It would be nice if we we're able to use the secondary gun that the tanks come with? I know some tanks have really good or bad secondary guns but still it would be nice to be able to use them.

Hi all,

 

If it's not too much trouble,

  • it would be very nice to have max render range on the map, same as the "master race" have, cuz it's a very useful feature for spotters and snipers alike.
  • I'd like to know what's the average window of changes that get implemented on PC and then on console versions, cuz I think some great things that are being tested in 9.18 will be welcomed  on console version.
  • Also, I noticed that 183's pen is at best random. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say it's underpowered or anything (it still has 270 pen), but if you have a shot at the back of the turret of any tank, and you know for a fact that it's under 200 mm of armor, it often makes 6-700 dmg. And, of course, there are some pretty odd snapshots on very heavily armored tds and heavies which do pen and make 1900 dmg. So... yeah...
  • Can you please do something about the avg dmg on t34/ t34 black? it's obviously not 400 on avg.
  • I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but I feel like avg income of premium tanks has somewhat been reduced (maybe my tinfoil hat is obstructing my eyes for seeing the truth :D )
  • And one for the end - please fix the matchmaker regarding arty, I thought there could be 3 of them max per team, however, I had ocasions where there were 5 on both sides.

Are you guys going to add the color scale to xbox like they have on pc that shows players W/L??? i feel like this is important and i really can't understand why it hasn't been implemented already. i would like to know if the players in the tanks next to me know what they are doing or not because that would help me and other players adjust before the fight begins instead of pushing with 5 tanks and then realizing in the middle of a battle they don't have a clue

Could you allow more of the directional emblems to be mirrored when placed on a side of the tank that makes them face backwards? Here's an example. Some of this month's HMH limited-time emblems are awesome and I would like to buy permanent placement before they leave, but when placed on the left side of the tank, they face backwards so they're only good for the right-hand side and so are only half the value for the gold. It's like I mentioned in the other thread; I wouldn't pay for a backwards tattoo. Please fix?

Also, I like the changes to Port

Also, the front left (USDM driver-side) spindle wheel on my M46 Patton clips right through its treads. The wheel pokes out past the treads. It looks super weird.

am i ever gonna see the day my tanks steer consistanly like any RC Toy You can buy, rather than getting me killed every single time i try to brawl or circle. This is like Mutombo jerking the gears every time i need to turn especially when i use hull fixed TDs.

And the parcour crazy taxi stuff, shouldve saved that for mercury maps.

They did that allready but only with some of the older emblems, lions and stuff. They missed it in the first place, sadly they repeated the same mistake allready twice with limited emblems.

Most of the spots are bad for emblems anyway and most tanks just look better with their army mark.

Would have been embarrassing if matchbox and other model kits sold only with lefty water decals for each side, wouldnt it?

If WGA was about to make some Buck they wouldve patched in more Emblem Spots allready to have players keep their armies Emblem and add the personal Tanks "Callsign" but instead they gift premium tanks to freebooters in hope of selling boosters and premium time.

After 100 or so battles i ran a single time into liberty falls mushroom map. i dont mind the houses doors and windows being so big if it were not for the miniature toy cars in front of them.
