Calling all clans to attention! WCL has ended and we are planning the next big tournament in World of Tanks. Gather your teams and your tanks. The fight is about to begin!

This is a brand new community-hosted World of Tanks Console tournament. Unlike WCL, World of Tanks Cup will feature epic 10 vs 10 battles across gold, silver, and bronze leagues with one winner being crowned in each league. Tournament Details

- Teams: no team limit

- Tiers: VII - IX

- Type: 86 tier points

- Round-Robin style season followed by playoffs

- Maps are listed on Battlefy: https://battlefy.com...infoTab=details

-Prizes will be 3 days of premium time and some consumables. This will be for the final 5 teams (15 on player in final teams)

-Stay tuned for further details.

Leagues

Gold League -- Ranked 1 - 39

Silver League -- Ranked 40 - 140

Bronze League -- Ranked 141 – 400

WN8t15 ranking is a flawed ranking. A single month of data is really no way to rank a clan. Should probably be using the overall clan tanking.

Both are flawed but top 15 is more accurate for sure. For reasons of activity. You can just register high inactive wn8s that won't even compete and still get a top spot...

He's also just using the wn8 to structure the leagues. Afterwards there is a round robin and playoff seeding based on performance. Looks good to me... Good luck!

Monthly WN8 is based on too few games to be that meaningful. You can get a whole clan of folks running 5/4s and T-Rex tanks for a couple of weeks to skew the numbers.

 

After working with the calculations for WN8, I see just how poor the rating is at giving any meaningful data using small numbers of games. I'd estimate that a WN8 based off less 500-1000 games is too variable to give anything beyond a general indication of performance.

He's using WN8 to pick who competes in each league. If your clan had a bad month, you're stuck in the C league. If you're in a clan that pads like a champ, you get into the best league. Each league has its own champion. There will be three champions from this structure. 

 

Unless there is a final playoff where the bottom two league champions play, then the winner plays the top league champion as an overall winner, I could see some clans getting upset that they were put in the minors.

Is 10v10 not to much? Many clans simply do not have the count when you consider the number of clans vs average players per clan where as a 7v7 is far more achievable.

 

You want to encourage participants not discourage.

​sorry what? Most clans have more than 7 people in also this is something completely new and to make people think out side of the box.

7 allows more clans to take part as even in big clans many players may not want to play competitive.

Smaller clans can always recruit more players before it starts. Also, we're trying to make this tournament as friendly as possible to all clans, including the larger clans who may be more socially (rather than competitively) focused and may be intimidated by the relatively high caliber of play in the WCL. Which is not to say that WCL clans are not welcome, they certainly are.

7v7 is to simple and it gets boring real fast not saying that is it boring for everyone just a small percent . But the game is based off a 15v15 MM and that is what people are used to just trying to make things interesting. Yes i know that the WCL season is not over but this is not the WCL we trying to make it little different and larger. Larger scale battles make the game what it is and its fun, Now for the people that are saying this is a bad idea that is your opinion and i really dont mind it but please keep it to your self and Pm one of us then you can discuss it with us if you want to take it from there. It doesn't matter if the top 25 teams can house 10 members to play or even 7 at that fact that means they are just either A. recruit more. B. dont bother doing this and they can keep there 7 comp team members as is. C. Figure it out like we all have. This is forever and we are not just going to target the teams the high ranking teams this is for everyone that wants to play. if we cant get the numbers to slip the in different brackets then we will host 1 major bracket and have selective prizes for the top 4 teams. Even so as it stands right now if more people join for the EU we will make a EU bracket with only 1 League so it is fare and then keep all other brackets as they are. This is mainly for the larger clans that have 30+ members that all play WoT. If you wish to complain talk to me. There is still time to edit this tournament and improve it and make it fun for everyone.
