I use them on my Lowe....which I play as a 2nd line support tank or a sniper, but I don't camp.

 

I move up, binos on, spot, shoot if I can, move up, binos , repeat.  The Lowe has a gun that is pretty much made for sniping, and it's generally accepted as a support tank.  The binos max out my spotting range.  I can fight/brawl in the heavy pile if need be.

If it's not a TD and it has a Mobility rating of 10 or less, I usually put binocs on it.  It's helped me out a lot with the bigger slower tanks that take forever to get anywhere.  If they're faster than that, then I move around the map a lot more and Optics work better for me.

They can be pretty advantageous in the lower tiers :trollface:
