Nice game. Where did you get those barrel decals?

Is it under emblems or inscriptions?

I have binoculars on my Tigers.

When all else fails use the report button.

Binos are useless on 99% of tanks. You should never be camping enough to use binocs on anything other then pure paper TDs

Binos are only useless for chai snipers.

I use binos on almost all my tanks and also in my Tigers and similar tanks because:

1) it's free - I can buy it for 1-2-3 battles and return it back after that... the other equipment units can't be that easily (free) used back and forth on every battle and every tank and they'll need gold for the change or a lot-lot of silver - I don't play just one tank for a long run but instead I play a lot of tanks in a row;

2) I hate those moments when I'm outspotted and someone just drains my health but I can't see him, so I also have some "Patrol Duty" medals in my Tiger I and Hammer with the binos and a lot of spots on them on these many battles when the light tanks just hide scared on the back and there is nobody else that can spot.

Binos on arty? Why?
If you're in arty and spotting tanks you're doing it wrong.

Bert the Avenger could certainly benefit from binos.

Really depends on what you're using Binos on. Something big and slow, with a big gun, like T34 or Tiger II where you can support teammates from a distance, or most TDs for examples. Optics for whatever you plan to be mobile in.

Optics should be used for everything (if you have a good crew) otherwise just look at the base view range, if you're below 390 maybe run binos (or just skip them) anything above running binos just screws you over if you have teammates who are running coated and are aggressive.

Meh. I use them on some things. They're cheaper to run because they don't cost gold to remove.

Please tell me this doesn't apply to heavies.

Yes, even the heavies. it allows you to become a sniper if you are not top tier. Top tier heavy means your job is to lead the charge, but any lower your job then becomes support of the top tier (i.e. sniper, flanker).

Well I actually find that if you stick with your top tier tanks and play off them you can actually do quite well since for the most part, someone would be more inclined to be killing the annoying heavy over the little tank sitting next to it, given you weren't sitting out in the open.

At least that's how stay at the top most games.

I would argue otherwise. It allows you to use the tank in whatever situation you find yourself in to the best effect, rather than try to force the tank into a situation where it is suffering a penalty. Binos only work on stationary tanks, but when they are working they have a much greater vision range than the 10% that optics provide. This is really important when you are not Top Tier, as they always have better view ranges than your lower tier tank will have. When moving, the optics provide an advantage over non-equipped tanks. ONLY if you NEVER stop (in my garage only the T2 light fits this)are binos worthless.

Binos work when sitting still, optics work on the move. They don't work together at the same time.

Correct. By having both, it allows you the most flexibility to deal with whatever situation you are in, moving or stationary.

Key to this is the last sentence - "If you have teammates who are running coated and are aggressive." Given the number of campers everyone complains about, not too many are being aggressive.

You have to camp to activate the binoculars.

You have to stop moving to activate the binoculars.

Activating the binoculars causes you to camp.

If your binoculars are on you are not moving.

When your binoculars are on you are camping.

So for arguments sake, I'm in my Churchill,  I roll up behind my top tiers, my Binocs activate and I spot 2 or 3 tanks that were hidden.

Am I camping?

Or I'm in my Crusader. I've pushed forward to a nice bush ahead of my team, my Binocs go up and I spot 5 or 6 Reds out in the open,

Scenario: I'm bottom tier in my 350m base viewrange Jagdpanzer IV and I halt for 3 seconds, binocs activate and I manage to land a crucial shot.

I am the proud camping sob in wot,..... at least.. according to aforementioned logic.

 There I said it.
