I keep getting to 81-82 moe range on my Lycan and then drifting back to 77.  Are any of you better light tankers running binocs on your Lycans/t71s?  I'm running vents, stabs, and optics. It seems like I have to try to get one bush further to get the same map coverage as other lights. I'm doing wonderfully on direct damage a good bit, but I'm losing spots/spot damage to team mates. I'm already running the 11 skill crew in it when used.

Don't consider myself a great light tanker in any sense of the word, but equip almost all of my lights with binos and camo nets. If you are top tier you won't need either, but as a light you almost never are top tier anyway. On games where your team has arty, you can be entirely passive and get an respectable reward for simply spotting for them and never firing a shot. Other games it allows you to hide until the top tier heavies on your team have thinned the reds enough that you can emerge to do the circle of death without every red on the team interfering. (Assuming your heavies know what they are supposed to do).

if you're losing spotting damage to teammates then nocs probably wouldn't help you anyway.

while I might not be a great light tanker I do OK

the lights I have two or three marked all run binos

three - leopard, SP 1C
two - LTTB, type 64, RU

just getting those spots really helps.  Remember MOE uses assisted damage also

every tank I have three marked has binos

Ram, T14, C3, Stug4, T25, Scorpion,PZ5/M10, wolverine, T67

Most of the ones I had two marked also

Binos are normal load out for most of my tanks actually.

I'm no great light tanker either, but I don't run binos on any of my lights except the AMX ELC.

I wa able to two mark my Bulldog with vents, stabs and optics. Just keep up the good play and it'll eventually happen. The game tends to troll you when you know you're getting close to another MOE. LOL.

Just keep at it. I'd stick with the optics over the binos!

Perhaps I'm just suffering from a stretch of aggressive teammates then?  You know I'm not afraid to get forward. I just can't get consistent spotting damage in the Lycan. I have my big spotting battles here and there, but my wz, ru, etc. have more consistency with spotting and I run binos on them.

Literally never. I pop, spot, move back, shoot and get assist. Flank, invisisnipe etc.

since the lycan is preemo it works to run cola and couple it with the spotting skills. You're view range will top around 510ish with optic. This should be more than enough to tackle most spotting necessary and you'll never go negative. While running nocs is always a decent choice I wouldn't suggest it without a net as well since they compliment each other the best.

dunno what you class as a light tank player but my bulldog runs stabs, coated optics and vents, but it also has cola, situational awareness, recon and brothers in arms. It's view range is pretty meaty.

only light I really run binos on effectively is the 13 90, lycan I find to be quite good as an active scout/damage dealer although you could say that's any light I run as its my style of play

I run binocs on my T49 (by the time I'm aimed the binocs are activated) and ELC  and optics on all the others. I just feel I'm moving too much for them to be activated that long.

I only 2 marked it, but I never run net and binos on my lights because they don't help when I have to be mobile.  Optics, vents, food, BIA, and vision skills put most scouts over max view all the time.

I spam scout tanks with the desire of balancing the bully tanks.

I prefer binos on my lights but I don't play them often. I always hope for ideal maps when I do. I debate with myself over coated optics instead but I'd prefer passive scouting over the "catch me if you can" style of sui-scouting.

I have three marks in three lights, I'm meh. But I only run Binocs, with camo net in two lights. Elc and wz-132, the rest have optics

Tanks that I actually enjoy playing: Leopard 1**, T71***, ELC***, WZ-132***, T29***, AMX Chaffee**, E 25***, T49***, Skorpion G***.

Tanks are cool and stuff, what else should I say?

Not great light tank player by any means, but two marked the Lycan recently and I equip optics, vert stab and vents since day 1. I don't remember any instance being out-spotted constantly throughout a game.
