WG has always had great customer service and generously corrects errors that negatively affect the player base; I believe this would go away if the game wasn't free to play.

You can have your VC tanks, I'll take the Yamato II because balance.

I didn't get a special tank

maybe there was some premium time, I can't confirm that as I probably didn't even know what it was at the time, and I did have a little gold to start and I think I blew it on things like medpscks because I didn't know any better.

it took me a while to figure out how to get more gold, lol

i just thought it was part of the game

and it wasn't a lot

maybe 500-850

There would be no 50$ WoT. This game exists because of the russian tanks obsession and their massive PC server population. That made EU market entrance possible and that`s their main cash cow now. US has been a major upset so far so they tried console. With paid game they wouldn`t be able to even make a first step.

80% for weather maps, lol. Murica supreme intelect powered by Cola and MC Donalds. Have fun bois...

Wait

you just blew my mind with new information in a subtle lezefaire kinda a way.

theres a Russian tank obsession meta?

stronger than US?

you mean like Japanese giant robot fighting Godzilla obsession?

did the Russians initially pay to play?

History by now.

Look how many other games  titles have been released in WoT consoles lifetime and have died a death.

WG doesn't force people to pay anything to play the game, people do that by choice. What you do pay for makes aspects of the game easier,  not exclusive or OP.

The DLC would definitely be a lot cheaper if they had a steady stream of revenue from sales of the game itself. For similar reasons I wish they would just charge a monthly fee of about $20 to play the game, and reduce the prices of premium tanks and such drastically.

then you did something wrong (unless you bought it used and they had already taken out the Codes)

it comes with a bunch of stuff:

  • Premium Panzer 38H Tier II light tank - Dominate with this heavily armoured and quick firing dynamo
  • I200,000 Silver & 1,500 Gold – Perfect for upgrading your tank and additional in-game content
  • 30-Day Xbox Live Gold Membership
  • 3 Days of Premium Account Access - Earn 50% more experience and Silver per battle

If you already had the 38H you may have gotten Gold/Silver instead

I accept the matchmaking, the RNG and the PTW only because it's free to play.

If this was a full price game I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole as it stands.

If WOT was a $60 game, it prob would have failed the first year, unless the spent some serious $$$ marketing it.

If it did well enough that first year we would have seen WOTII already with declining sales and WOTIII:Tanks in Space this year with loads of DLC and micro-transactions.

Everyone would hate the game(more then some do now) and the game would die.  WG would go bankrupt and the employee's would be turning trick's in a dark alley somewhere for a few penny's and Cat gif's

It would be like COD.

They'd release a newer version every couple years.

New perks, equipment, different eras, maps, better graphics every time.

That was the only way to get that tank at the time I managed to pick the disc up cheap will all the goodies. Was a few weeks later they gave it away as a prize in an OP

It's only free to play on the PC and PS4. Xbox requires a gold membership.

The prices that WG comes up with makes EA look like a caring company.

You can't include gold in the "price" of wot. Without gold, you can't access most of the services available to you. That is akin to saying that wot pc isn't free because you need to buy a computer and internet.

Tired of all the window licking oxygen wasters, that's why my tanks run on pure rage, the finest wodka, firing only premium Stalinium rounds guided by the hand Stalin himself. Stronk tanks, stronk results.

Im curious on what you guys think world of tanks would have been like if it was a full 40-60$ game.Would anything be different,Would there be less or more micro-transactions,Would there be more players? let me know what you guys think.

I would have not bought it at $40-$60, i would have stayed playing gta v at that price point,
