So tried to hop on tanks, then got a message that I need to sign into the account that bought the game or buy it in the store, even though I'm logged into my account. Then if I try again it will just say "Something went wrong blah blah blah error 0x87e107f9"

I've done a hard reset with no luck and have heard from a couple people that are having similar trouble, anyone know how to fix this?

It's MS store/purchases/usage, that's why other games may not be effected.

I got the same problem.  When I type in my error code it says that it not a error code.    I hope it fixed by tomorrow.

With ms and sony even the free games needs you to buy the licence for digital content.

You buy a free license to grant your account to the content.

When it's the authentication process ms or sony servers validate the content and the authorization to access it. If your not allowed, you get an error. It can be resolve by closing the game, resetting it, the console, relogging in or just wait that your account finish to log in correctly then try again. Sometime it can happened because you try to launch the game before your account has the time to log entirely.

It's crazy but it's like buying a free digital game of xbox 360 and needing a credit card.

I often has this error but it always resolve by itself and usualy it's not so long.

Yeah, except when the licensing server takes a dump.  Then there is nothing you can do.

If anyone is still having issues, I went into settings -> personalization -> My home Xbox -> and made it my home Xbox

For some reason this solved my problem, and I'm guessing that the people who had no issues getting onto wot were people who already had this option enabled.

Mine worked. Wanted to play BF1 tonight but that was blocked by that error code too. Had to settle for World of Rage.
