GREETINGS CACTUS GOBBLERS,

I'm very sorry for that clickbait title, but I would like to state that you all are CACTUSES

Now, how do I play the KV-85? Where do I take it in a game?

Not to the front, I am grinding mine and I hate it. Armor like a medium and mobility like a heavy.

Id personally prefer the 100mm due to the reload, and somewhat better handling compared to the 122mm

That 100mm vs. 100mm must have that amazing 300 alpha damage! So good!

Step 1: Use 100mm gun.

Step 2: Play like a larger slower medium.

Step 3: Profit.

You take it to the flattest part of the map.

Equip the 122mm and laugh as you two shot everything in your own tier and make tier 8's cry when you hit them for 400+

Glad someone else caught this. But seriously use the 100mm the alpha is still great for that tier but the dpm is insane. 1,170 with the 122mm Vs 1,900 with the 100mm there is no contest.

This, glorious tank with the 100mm, but I like heavy mediums.

Can't debate the lolz with the 122 though, but at tier VI I prefer doing it with the SU-100.

I'm using the 122mm since I unlocked it (and it was still the KV-1S) for more than 2 years now.

No ragrets

Good tank. Its a KV-1. WIth the IS-2 turret and gun. What else to say?

Sidescapre, stay close to green tanks that reload faster than you, shoot and retreat for cover, rinse and repeat.

Lol. ... 10/10 gun depression. :teethhappy:

Peek-a-boom. Great alpha.

Faster than you'd expect from a Soviet heavy - does pretty well playing more like a big medium.

This has actually become one of my go-to fun tanks to play the last week or so. Dat 122 is too much fun! Grinding to the IS; hopefully the IS will be just fun.

Been having a blast on Liberty Falls with this tank! Russian accuracy helps of course.

Considering they nerfed the hell out of the gun depression when they made the KV-1S into the KV-85 this isn't  half bad advice. You ain't going to be abusing ridge lines with only 3 degrees of depression. But really there is only one way to play it. Equip either the 100mm or the 122mm. Abuse the fact you are almost as mobile as a some mediums and can run circles around those fat and helpless Japanese heavies.

While the armour is fairly good this isn't a tank you sit and trade shots in. And city maps are your friend since they are so many angles of approach to abuse. Hit the reds for all that sweet, sweet alpha damage. Then back into cover and hell come at them from another angle if the opportunity presents itself . I tell you there is no sweeter feeling then hitting those smug Japanese tanks in their egg shell covered sides for 400+ alpha .
