THIS TANK IS... actually, not that bad. I was bracing myself for a horrible time, but it seems to be working well, so far.

I thought it was ok. Slightly worse than a Panther but I still enjoyed it more than the sta-1 or the Pershing even though my stats on the pershing were far better. Not fun if arty takes an interest in you or you get set on fire in your first hit but a useable medium.

The payoff at tier 9 and 10 is worth it though. If I didn’t need an experienced crew I would have possibly free xp’d past it just becase it doesnt really teach you much about playing the next 2 tanks.

Simply horrible tank. That along with the Jap crap STA 1 are enough to put anyone off the game, sure has with me at least. Just can't bring myself to play it much anymore because of the rubbish changes and exhorbitant prices WG are making and changing. Got a bit sick of the crap MM too. Bottom tier yet doing better than many of the higher tiered tanks, look up and game after game you'd see most of your team wiped out. So frustrating. Hoping I get the desire to play again at some stage.

I have recently bought this tank and it's not even half as bad as the forums suggest, just another case of false info from this sad place really

.....crap STA 1? I loved that tank! Sure it has cardboard for armour, but all other stats are really good for an t8 med.

That is.... I already have reached the STB-1 (sold the STA-1 like over a year ago....), has the meta changed for paper meds with all these lights flying over the battlefield nowadays?

Run mine with the 88. I prefer the better gun handling, pen, and ROF over a little more damage.

I thought I couldn't hate any tank as much as the Tier 7 Japanese Chi Ri. Bad gun, slow and no armor. Then I got to the TVP VTU. I had to stop grinding this and hold off on the Czech line... it's right up their with the Chi Ri for unplayable tanks. I will probably go back at some point because I really want to play the Tier 9 & 10 Skoda's, but I need to focus on some other lines with better tanks at the moment.

So similar to what I did with the Swedish Leo? Better DPM over alpha?

Is the VTU really that bad? I'm going through the line now and I don't honestly think I've seen anyone on my team or the reds do well with it. Is it basically just an extremely frustrating crew trainer for the Skodas or can it be used well in the right hands? If so, what does it play similar to?

its mobile.

& the gun is ok. not big alpha but still ok.

its hated because it cant take a hit. its armor is useless. & you have to face big guns.

but it drives nice & the gun is ok.

The shell velocity just adds insult to injury.  It wouldn't feel half as bad if it didn't seem like you were posting shells to their targets in an envelope.

The VTU is like shock therapy for reckless behavior. If you find yourself at the head of a charge, you fudged up. Roll with a group, know when to fall back.

They should give the 88 an autoloader and increase the 105 damage to match the Ravioli at 390. Make atleast two options competetive.

I'd also like to see them swap the top/stock turrets to make it more visually distinct from the T 40.

When I got my Czech Expert Ribbon it came as a surprise. I had known that I needed to frag a TVP/VTU for a while and could never finish one off. Over time I had forgotten that I needed to frag one and had stopped looking for them. Then in a match I had killed what I thought was a T40 only to find out at the end that it was infact a TVP/VTU. They are very similar looking.

Christ, things just don't get any better with this steaming turd tractor. Now forced to use it for the cruncher contract. More pain. The only good thing about it is that it gets blown up, as that'sthat's is it deserves. Gonna take forever to get the t9 tank. May never even bother. Reckon I'll die of old age before I get to the T 50.

fight through the pain.

The next two tanks are completely worth it.
