Enjoyed the event overall, but averaging out the points like you guys did is pretty underhanded.  Just use the the actual raw scores for the most accurate representation of points received per nation.  This isn't an Electoral College.  Germany should have won the Germany vs. Russia weekend event, with more completions than the USSR.  That whole averaging system just makes no sense, whatsoever.  Pretty shady.

Was a fun OP. Couldn't play on Sunday due to life obligations so I didn't qualify for the medal (darn) & only did 47/100. I also played for the USA team (double darn...lol). This was the toughest decision to make between playing USA or Russia & I went back & forth for quite awhile. I chose USA finally because I own more high quality American tanks vs Russia, with superior Crews in them + I felt an affinity for USA as I live in Canada & it seemed like a natural fit & choice. My heart said USA but my head said Russia. The decision factor was the most enjoyable part of this OP. It was fun & I looked forward to the results. Ended up 3 out of 5.

Pitting Nation vs Nation was a fun approach & made for some thought provoking Nation choice decision making + it forced me to dust off a few tanks that I rarely play, especially the Japanese line (not a fan). Overall it is was fun. Having battles full of KV-2 was a blast.

Keep up the good work.

So you want a simple popularity contest? Because there is no chance that a team with 1000 participants will win against one with 2000.

It's just the one with the most completions wins.  As it should be.  If it happens to be the most popular tanks, then "C'est la vie."  I mean, that's how it is with most things.  If they're the most fun tanks people like to play, then why shouldn't they win?

Hello tankers!

Thank you for all of you who participated in our Tank Madness event!

Do please share your feedback! Give me feedback!!! All the cat feedback!!!!

Roll out!!!!!

Hey RaiBOT01, tanks WG for another great event, I really enjoyed it, like I have the other events. I do have one question that I'm hoping maybe you can get the answer to. Looking at the results of the Final IV had me wondering if it would be possible to tell us how many MVPs were earned by players for each nation during the final IV? The nerd in me was just wondering what those numbers looked like compare to the number of completions and average completions per player.

Thanks in advance, habfan70

One obvious reason would be that the same nation (ie. USSR) would always win. The second and subsequent time simply because it would be silly not to bet on the obvious winner.

Another obvious reason would be that nations have a different number of tanks. You can only do certain play styles with Japanese or Czechoslovakian tanks, and that would be boring.

The third obvious reason is that, disregarding my first point, we at best have two nations in the race.

I know, but with something like this (with four nations going at it, in the end) you're not going to be able to doge the popular tank line contest.  I did like how they divvied up the competing tanks each weekend.  Pretty much, the two most played nations went up against each other, then the second two up against each other, and so on.  I'm not so sure about the Final IV at the end.  That was pretty much a given that whoever won the weekend with the two most played nations was going to get that, with four different nations going at it.  If they had done it like a normal kind of "Finals" and had a few more weekends until the "finals" were only with two nations facing off, instead of four, I think that would've been a little more competitive.

Awesome OP, awesome rewards, thanks WG and Raibot!

I went 5-0, got the USSR MVP, and received everything including medals, but did not get the doubling of weeks 1-4 for getting the MVP completed.

I am missing 4 premium days and 200k silver.

All I have to say is that results pretty much proves the Russian bias.  Anyone who says it's because of the quality of the players is selling you something!

I enjoyed this Op a lot.  I think the format of awarding the top 5 tanks with points works well and allows all tank classes to contribute equally.

Great op. I was able to really train up some crews, and come away with some nice rewards. Hope to see more like this . Thanks WG.

I enjoyed this event !

As already suggested please leave out the "no-show" Players that do not contibute a single completion. This hinders spoofing :hiding:

In addition to that: a counter for the completions the Player achieved would be nice.

I enjoyed the event . I think the brackets could have been better as had been posted before so the final 4 woulda been more realistic . I do have a large concern about russia beating germany . in every match I was in there was many more german tanks in the game then russian . All my friends saw same thing .

The first part about counting players without completions , Would be hard as all teams had to have players that tried , but alas failed even 1 completion.

I guess it could be changed to a completion to make the sqaud .

In general I think the event itself ran well. I didn't quite like how the obvious teams always won. In round 1 I played as UK against USA, USA would clearly have a bigger player base but I thought it wouldn't come down to being that simple but it appears it was. For rounds 2-4 I didn't repeat that mistake and was on the winning side every time.

The reward rollout was bit of a dogs breakfast. 10 hours after the rollout started I still didn't have my finals reward package and only 2 of the 3 round medals I had earned. When I logged in the next day I had finally received my finals reward package but still have not received my 'Final IV Soviet' medal and there is a ticket ongoing about this. I understand that issuing rewards to thousands of players can potentially be difficult so at the beginning I was concerned but calm about the delay. I think it was about 7 to 8 hours past the time when the rollout started WG had stated it completed the process issuing rewards and put the AC1 on sale and that's when I started to get angry as, from the forum pages, clearly a lot of us still where waiting.

I do like my AC1 tank but I have to admit the bad experience of the reward rollout has tainted that tank a little for me (hopefully that changes over time) as the problems with that brought back all the anger I had over that "Fatherland" RNG event which was the worst and almost made me rage-quit WoT

Would like the event more if prize distribution was handled well.

Still waiting on my premium day...  (the other thread has gone 'quiet';)

...and what about those that don't read the forums? Are they even aware they were not credited silver/premium time. Will they be?

Do I have to submit a ticket?

The dissemination of information has suffered as of late, especially when it comes to March Madness.  (ie points not carrying over for the final four portion)
