I used AP rounds and 10 kills ...

will try HE next time

Just watched that video, wow, lots of still targets!

Surely I'm playing mine wrong, been using full HE and perhaps staying too close to the front lines.

Yeah I've always run almost exclusively HE and HEAT in mine because the AP pen is only marginally better than AP but causes hilarious results.

I think we used to get garage slots "included" before with premiums but not anymore, so about a 300 gold difference from wiki price to store price seems about right.

Its highly situational, but a fun tank IMO. If can stay hidden or at range, slow or stationary targets are a blast to blow away with the HE. but since no armor (tier I hull), you just can not take hits. pz1c are a pain if they come for you (or just about anyone really).

but you can get top damage, top xp, and many kills in some games, which makes it useful as a crew trainer and a completing OP tank. like the Alecto, it has a slow velocity with significant shell arc. auto-lock and shoot over small hills. tanks think they are safe when they backup but you can usually still smack 'em with HE :)

Lots of HE is good, but you'll also need some more pen for harder targets. The gun accuracy might make you think IS, but it isn't. You should always be either slightly cautious because of your lack of armour or suicidally slinging shells around, about to die. It is very effective against open top TDs that stop to shoot, but don't trade shots.

Attacking tanks that are focussed on something else is good. Keep your distance so that if your first shot doesn't kill them, you have a chance to reload while they look around to see who shot them.

Incidentally for anyone that does think they would like the GrossTraktor, check out the A-32 in store. They are sort of similar in that they are lightly armoured derpmobiles with hideous gun accuracy. But both can annihilate tier 3 tanks with one shot in the right circumstances. I personally love driving the A-32 but hate shooting anything with it. If it would suit you though you could spend 4200 (1300+2900) to get both, which I would argue is more sensible than spending 3450 on the GrossTraktor Ultimate...  I f you try one and like it, play it for several battles rather than rush to buy the other though. It can be frustrating when it goes badly or you aren't top tier. See both sides before spending more.  YMMV. :)

If anyone is still debating about getting this tank, I recommend watching my video of me getting the Mastery Badge last year when the tank first came out. 9 kills on Himmelsdorf. This tank really shines on urban maps. I was running a full HE load out and a crappy crew that more than likely had 1 skill at most and still managed to do well. Starts off a bit slow but picks up as my teammates get demolished lol. If I remember right, this was my second or third game after buying this tank.

Naturlisch, same Wertmaht and Third Reich Panzerwaffe.

Another side  the "Huge Tractor" could be use effecitve as rammwagen something like a Pz V/IV ?

What do you think ?

It didn't work out for me, but I might try again. Remember it has no armour - it is literally made from non-armour steel. Although it's large I don't think it's particularly heavy, as it's only slightly heavier than a Blitzen. It only does 44kph too, so not particularly fast.

So you are missing the weight, speed that make a good rammer and it doesn't have armour to shield it from the explosion caused by ramming. The GrossTraktor is the opposite of the Rampanzer. It would probably improve with a spall liner and if your crew had Controlled Impact, BIA and Pain Tolerance, but that would probably be true for any tank. :)

thanks for all the info, fellas  :honoring:     the thing definitely looks like 1300 Gold isn't terribly high priced   Looks like a nice trainer.

Also the only thing I enjoy besides a light tanks at that tier is the French D2 so this should be interesting

COMPLETELY HAPPY WITH THIS TANK !   :teethhappy:

Firstly, Tier III perma-camo only costs 300 gold ( ain't waiting for a sale, for once )

Threw in Binocs, Camo Net and Vents, took my second best Germans outta mein StuG who have about six skills...

Try finding nice snipey TD spots to start with and then move after you've lobbed a few HE rounds.  There's enough mobility that you can get back to defend the base or wander to the other flank if need be. You can really screw someone's day up with this.  Several games I forgot to activate the Op for the tank (dumb).  Several times I forgot to load HE at the start (dumber).

Sure- if a Blitzen or a Pz IC notice and rush at you, you're toast.  Ran into my arch nemesis who "Steams" in at me and I punked him.   That alone was worth the 1300 gold !!
