Nefarious Reasons for WG's Unsatisfactory Balancing Efforts?

They should balance the game using common sense. I'm telling you all, there's a nefarious reason behind their seemingly incompetent balancing efforts. Tanks like the E5 force players to fire more gold ammo which means they have to spend more time and money on the game. Whether they buy a premium tank, premium account time, or spend more time grinding silver. That could be the reason, I don't know, but something is wrong. WG is not that dumb.

Could be they make a tank OP so people spend a ton of money and time grinding towards it and then they nerf it once most of the players either get the tank or give up on the line.

Maybe they nerf it and make some other tank super OP so that players will have to grind another line to stay competitive.

There's no good reason for why it took WG a year to balance the E5. They waited a good long while and let a ton of players grind their way up that line before nerfing it. I bet a ton of players were spending money on converting XP, premium account time, and grinding a lot of silver to get the E5 faster. WG has too much money to take this long on simple fixes. How many players are grinding up the Maus and Type 5 lines right now 'cause they wanna play the OP tanks?

I bet I, with some help from you brilliant forumers, could balance the whole game perfectly in less than a week if we were given the chance and access to WG's resources. Trust me, I know how we could do it. All it'd take is common sense, a good idea of what makes WoT great, and some testing.

All of the above.

I was not aware they balanced any of the tanks you mentioned though. Of what do you speak? Last I saw the Maus & Type 5 (and IS-7) were the worst performing X heavies statistically.

Maus and Type 5 have been buffed like crazy on the PC and I'm sure we'll see the same buffs here on console before long.

Not my kind of balance. It wouldn't matter to me which tanks were "over-performing" according to the stats.

Meaning my goal wouldn't be to make sure tanks of the same class and tier were performing equally. I'm sure that isn't how WG balances either but I wouldn't give a [edited] about that.

Ok, intrigued.   What would you do to my favorite tank, the Pz. III/IV?

I thoroughly love this game but there is a bunch of shady [edited]that seems very well orchestrated. To be fair it seems the norm for gaming companies anymore.

Honestly, I don't even know what tank that is. I'd have to look at it. Probly nothing, maybe a buff.

Especially free-to-play games. They're designed to extract money out of people and they excel at this.

You're not helping your cause after the Infowars stuff.  You're starting to sound like a run-of-the-mill conspiracy theorist.

Imagine if WoT was a standard $60 game how different it would be. I'm sure there'd be some DLC but they would've been happy with the $60 they got from all their players. They wouldn't expect to make money past that point. There are a lot of problems with this model as well and I'm sure some of you can point them out 'cause I don't feel like it. I'm just saying it would be so different. And I guess I'm too lazy to explain how I think it might be different. I hope most of you can imagine this for yourselves 'cause I don't wanna explain :teethhappy:

I don't care how I sound to you or anyone else. Don't care a bit about helping my cause. These theories don't seem too far fetched to me. But I suppose this is kind of a conspiracy theory :teethhappy:

OP tanks exist so that crappy players can compete with good players. They exist for players to need gold to kill, and to build frustration so players spend money. It's the same reason arty exists.

I'd give it the buffs that PC gave it months ago in 9.17.1 Maybe in a year or two WGA will get around to giving this tank the help it needs, there's no excuse for its poor view range.

  • Pz.Kpfw. III/IV
    • Changed the reloading time of the 7.5cm Kw.K. 40 L/48 gun for the second turret from 4.3s to 4s
    • Changed the reloading time of the 7.5cm Kw.K. 40 L/43 gun for the second turret from 4.3s to 4s
    • Changed the view range of the first turret from 320m to 340m
    • Changed the view range of the second turret from 320m to 350m
    • Changed the vehicle durability, when the first turret is mounted, from 380 to 420
    • Changed the vehicle durability, when the second turret is mounted, from 440 to 480

This sounds exactly the same as the people that say the government is secretly and masterfully manipulating every single little thing behind the scenes while simultaneously saying that it is too incompetent to accomplish anything.

I hope to one day be wealthy enough to be considered eccentric rather than just plain nuts.
