Just crunching the numbers. If you manage to earn the 'lands....

5 pack with no extras - 35000

Fatherland - 15800. 25% discount to match pack = 11850

Motherland - 10800. 25% discount = 8100

Total  "discounted Gold equivalent." = 19550

Therefore I can get my three "new" tanks for 35000-19550 = 15050 - or less than the IS5 on its own and almost 5k less than buying each of the new ones individually. and I get them straight away..

I know I need the 35k up front then get credit back so WG still wins but seems a good deal for three tanks?

Maybe

I say maybe because you still have to factor in the included premium ammo and  garage slots into the calculation. Though it would probably save you some gold in the long run. I've always found it rather difficult to properly calculate the gold refund because of those  little bits

What really confuses me is that the pack which includes 5 tanks is only 1500 gold more than the all in the family bundle where you only get the Tier VIII's.

Gold refund for bundles is a joke.  They still have all your money.

I really don't like bundles.

Derek if it works for you go for it. There are lots of tanks I'd buy but I can't. This is not always down to WG pricing policy! It's due to the fact my wife doesn't see the worth in them :girl: :teethhappy:

At least you'll probably spend the gold later on something else and they retracted the hilariously awful silver refund policy on bundles.

I agree with above. Yeah that bundles in principle are poor as you have to hand over all your money for a credit note for later.

I mainly did the calc due to the maths geek in me. Its only possible because the fatherland is so expensive.

Personally, I'm not sure I need third tier 8 soviet premium, or the 220 (I have a 34-88 for that)

However the tier VI would be good for some of these earn ops, and its meant to be pretty good. May just go for the cheapo version of that

EDIT: I should probably save my gold for a properly novel tank like the swedes, the mutz (as it looks right up my street for gameplay or one of the properly OP modern ones (partiot, PC liberte)

You can save almost 2k more if you earn the Bogatyr first!

Fear... It is something vital to us puny creatures. The instant man stops fearing is the instant the species reaches a dead end, only to sink to pitable lows, only to sit and wait apathetically for extinction. Humans who lose the ability to think become creatures whose existance has no value. Wake up! Don't be afraid of knowledge! Think, you humans who are split into two worlds, unless you want the gulf between humans to expand into oblivian, you must think! Signed, Schwarzwald.

However, with all these Premium tanks, you're going to need gold to convert the Premium tank XP to Free XP.  Surely, XP conversion is among the top three reasons to play Premium tanks.

If/when we ever can convert Free XP to Crew XP, I will be hard pressed to not break the bank converting XP and have the most OP trained crews.

You get the skill even with the earn op this time. No need to buy.

So you can use a ticket to sell these premium tanks for gold?

You are close, you just have to correct your base #'s for the two tanks above. The Fatherland is 15,428 initially and the Motherland is 10,425 initially. So your refund should be around 19,390 so your cost for the bundle will be around 15,610 for all three new tanks, ACE ops on all three, 5 garage slots, 3 trained crews, a mixture of ammo, and since you bought the Bogatyr you'll also get 2x silver and 2x crew XP on your first 100 battles with it.

Couldn't have said it better. 35,000 gold would require that you purchase three packs of 12,000 gold at $50 per. That's a $150 investment - Just so that you can save 5,000 gold? Way smarter to save your gold and buy a discounted year of premium on Black Friday for $50.

I really don't like bundles.

WG Tank Bundles are like the Cell Phone companies with all the hidden charges and exceptions. Either way, we all lose.

Couldn't resist, bought the bundle owning Fatherland & Motherland, gold cost was exactly 15,536 if you're curious to know.

Awesome, my math had the cost after refund around 15,610 so I was quite close. I'll be grabbing it this evening as well as it is a good deal to me for 3 more tanks and all the bonuses.

Nobody earned the fatherland. You just got lucky, either sooner or later.

Correct, but you gotta do it right. Work your butt off and have her be a stay at home mom.

Me: I'm about to spend 50 bucks on a free game baby.

Wife: Are you sure we have the money for that and it's a good way to spend it?

Me: Well, you could get a job…

Wife: Look at that, time to cook dinner (leaves quickly as possible)
