All the sudden after this new update game only gives me a option to play single player and tutorials. Ranked and multiplayer is now locked.I have been in this game for over a year with no issues.I was told as long as you had xbox live you can log in and play Tanks but it seems no more?
Now it seems you need gold to log in and play.This will be a dead game soon on the xbox if that's the case.If anyone knows whats up let me know plz.

World of Tanks is free to play as set by Wargaming.
We do not require players to pay to play the game in any ways. Microsoft has set the requirements that a XBL Gold account is needed to play World of Tanks over it's servers.
World of Tanks PC, Blitz and PS4 require no membership to gain full access to the game.

I want to add that since the game was released I was never locked out of War Gaming and WoT this update did it. Now I can only play proving grounds. Why punish us?
I have always been able to connect and play on multiplayer.

This is how folks got the jpz II j tank on xbox. We had to buy gold account to keep playing after the free trial was over.

It's been that way for me since the first day I took my XBone out of the box. It's been that way since I downloaded my first multiplayer game. No clue how the OP was able to play without it, assuming he was without XBox Gold versus had it but didn't realize.
