Still have mine in the box. Waiting for backwards compatibility. Played that until the bitter end. My all time #1 favorite game. All Paingod has to do is make World of Mechs. Should have seen the game he was making before Day One got bought by Wargaming. Bring back the "thunder" ,Pain!!!!!!!!

MechAssualt 1 made game of the year! And is still awesome to this day.

World of Mechs would be insane with a VR headset 0_O

Sorry but I can't find reason for any concern. Those kind of comments have existed at across each company I've worked for across my 20 year career.

What, why would anybody say anything negative about their former employer?! That's unheard of! Especially people who get fired for a variety of reasons. :P

Aren't these employee reviews from before WG purchased that company? That 2005 one is for sure.

Well if you mean Cyprus, the people who would be telling their subdivisions what to do, no, I sincerely doubt they'd be looking at two teams working on near identical products and telling one to screw themselves over in the long run and take away massive amounts of content.

Every company has corporate directives. When my local branch runs things ourselves, we do a good job responding to our direct customers needs. But then we get corporate folks making us chase work from a large company we've never had much work from before. We spend tons of time and effort working on a small project for someone on the hope that they will give us work later. But then it just ends up being a feather in the cap of some corporate guy so he can put in his monthly report, and we wasted time on something that cost us more than we got out of it.

Every company has things like that. And we'll never know how much is the local console group and how much is WG corporate. And they are not working on the same product from a corporate perspective. They have different goals and objectives.

I think the information shared is no longer relevant.

I am a Day 1 Studios employee (now wargaming) and I have been working for the developer studio for 7.5 years now and my experience has been nothing but awesome.  The people here are my family.  I have worked for other gaming companies like Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, Phosphor games, among others, and I can tell you that working for Day 1 Studios/Wargaming is awesome and I wouldn't change it for the world :)

Since you are getting an answer from someone who has worked here for almost 8 years, I can consider this post resolved.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

But actually it explains a lot, so this is not run Wargaming PC, this also explains why development is very very slow compared to PC, they have to bring more people from PC WG department otherwise I don't think we will ever see new player base.

Edited by ForzaFerrari7, 13 September 2017 - 01:48 AM.

The game is completely free and will never be "pay to win".

Feels like the base has pretty much hit the peak population wise. Time will tell.

Also, this is the only game I ever played which has no credits about development team, I know it's not mandatory to publish them but feels like they are not proud of their employees

The game is completely free and will never be "pay to win".

Most people that work at wargaming seem to enjoy their jobs. I've talked with some over the years and I've met some in person.  All of them are awesome people that do a great job. Keep up the good work!

I don't think they have rights to say anything against by their contract, it's 101for any company.

They may not be allowed to talk bad about the company that pays them.  That pretty much goes for any company you would ever work for.  On the other hand, if they didn't like the company, they just wouldn't talk about it

Huh, never noticed that. Probably because I don't even look at the credits unless I can get an achievement, or there''s a scene after them(Marvel). Who the heck actually watches the credits?

Ok, so why would corporate have one successful product, then look at the product that isn't is successful but 90% identical and tell them to keep doing crap that's proven unpopular? Last I checked even the corporate giants of videogame development have enough sense to try to correct things that aren't popular ( I mean do you think Activision is having it's devs drop futuristic jet-pack laden Call of Duty games for giggles?)

Maybe instead of some grand corporate conspiracy of self sabotage, it's a simple fact of our devs having no real clue what they're doing and stumbling over themselves trying to through things day by day?

For a free game, it really is an extremely good game. I'd doesn't feel like they are stumbling over themselves to me

They took out half the maps in the game with no idea of what they're going to do with them or when they'll be back. Lord knows what else goes on behind the scenes.

They have no direction, and if you listen to their dev Q&As they have no real long term goals.

They won't give a date for when the maps will return because what if they didn't finish the maps by that date?  I literally think people would have a heart attack.  The catch enough heat already, just imagine the heat they would get then

Because for three years the community has been asking for dates on various things such as regular balance updates and content drops and a simple "couple of months, maybe" might actually be a nice gesture of good faith, and sign that they're smart enough to know how well they keep their own game in line? You know, like actual competent development teams have been doing for years now...

I mean, this is the same development team that can't even remember to roll XP averages for the tank Mastery badges nor can even bother to list removed content in it's patch notes.
