Good

 

Great job with the Type 5 Heavy premium round making it a different shell type (HEAT) rather than a straight more silver for more damage HE shell. This is the first time ever where I can say not following PC on balance was a good idea.

 

It's great that you brought forward some balancing that would be due in the future from the newer PC updates (9.2) rather than just sticking to 9.17 changes. (IS-7, M48 Patton etc.)

 

Bad

 

No idea why the T92 got a new engine? Not necessary at all.

 

The Object 263 is HD now, it wasn't in the patch notes, were more tanks left out? Disappointing as had I known I would've tried to get it researched over the weekend.

 

It seems the balance team is either stubborn or forgetful about revisiting buffs/nerfs they decided not to implement in the past. Some obvious examples; AMX 50 B aim time, buffing the Type 5 armor and gun but forgetting the HP and dispersion buffs that came long before. There are countless instances like this, please bring it to their attention, just ask them to revisit everything they overlooked from old balance passes every time a new balance pass comes around.

 

German high tier engines... I will never understand why they still exist as they are... 3 mediums, 3 heavies, 3 TDs all have the wrong engines with far too much horsepower yet still keep receiving the PC buffs on top of them which were brought in to make up for their sluggishness, they aren't supposed to cruise around like American and British tanks.

 

Some things which are completely illogical and a mess because of the refusal to trust PC more often. Object 704 had it's reload lengthened a while ago so now it has a longer reload than the tank before it (ISU-152) using the same gun? Sturer Emil and Waffentrager auf Pz. IV have ridiculous view range which are both way too high for the tier they sit at, should've been changed at the same time as the Borsig. Also, the SU-100 was named after the 100mm gun it used yet doesn't have a package containing the top engine with that gun...

 

Still no TD alpha changes... and even worse no 183mm HESH penetration reduction or Waffentrager E 100 clip size and HP reduction...

 

Overall

 

Despite the bad list being a lot longer than the good, these are just the glaring things that are going unnoticed, there are a lot of good things I haven't mentioned as they are clear improvements.

 

Please trust PC changes, console updates are far enough behind that overpowered and underpowered tanks have been tweaked by PC long before the server upgrade comes here. The console balance in all honesty is generally a lop sided mess right now with the cherry picking policy of balance, albeit much better than it was a year ago when it was as poor as could possibly be.

Not sure where to put this so I'll try here. I have noticed that the "detected" icon and sound goes off more frequently than before, also when sixth sense is applied. To be honest this is pretty annoying. It goes of maybe 10 times in the space of 20 seconds. I know I am spotted... relax lol :) 

 

Is this a bug or something you have done on purpose? Can you explain the mechanics behind it?

Can you bring 2 parts of the old tank filter back please?

The old filter would wrap around when you scroll past either left or right end of the filter(good feature#1).

Or if you scroll up past the top row of filter it would return home to the clear all filters(good feature#2).

I'm not sure if I like the change that skips the blank area in the filter on the bottom row, before it would just step up to next option in category.

New German Panzer VII is fantastic. The game meta also feels much better since the balancing. Thank you. Map rotation does not feel fixed though. My platoon saw Caen Assault 4 times last night. We were attacking every time.

Hi, 

So the "new" mini maps, prior to this update, looked great.

in 4.1, the black buildings for non-destructible structures and black with white outlines for destructible, 

look awful. was there really a need to do this? it looks so bad it's distracting.

like, really bad.

The filter issue is a new bug which is being fixed as we speak.

I noticed that- it's as if every single tank that detects you sends the signal, rather than you get the signal once because the enemy has detected you. The scenario is now: "You've been detected!" bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep (Shut up shutup shutup shutup SHUTUP..) BOOM! Back to garage...

With the changes to the T95, T28 and T28 Prototype, I think a good argument can and should be made to set a global minimum forward speed for the game of 20kph.  There are several tanks that suffer severely from this handicap, but don't get the attention the US TDs do; some of the Tier 1-2 tanks are very slow, the TOG is now a relic at 13kph, the Archer and Crusader SP both have insanely slow forward speeds, etc.

You have a point, but as far as the Archer goes, you may be driving it backwards. Its "forward" speed is actually reverse, and vice versa. The gun is mounted backwards (rear-facing) in the chassis. Try driving the Archer in reverse most of the time. But you probably already knew that ;)

There is a small annoying problem with the VK 100.01 (p). Both the 10.5 and 12.8 cm guns sound exactly the same. Not only this, but the sound does not fit. It sounds like one of the small caliber guns from tier 3 and 4.

 

It doesn't effect the operation of the tank, but just bugs me because the sound doesn't fit the caliber of gun.

 

Just throwing this out there. It also changes sound and volume randomly when spectating other player in game.

 

I know it's not a priority, but I would like a more substantial sound out of that 12.8 cm.

Was the Panther updated HD model, side skirts added? Don't remember them having them? I asked on bug fixes already but you just posted the above in response. Also was Pz. V/IV HD updates, lengthened/true barrel and removal of tow cleats on the front of hull, there by making it the real model of actual vehicle?

I completely disagree. Prior to this update , the minimap showed generic buildings.   Now I know which buildings can be utilized for simple concealment and which can afford cover as well.

The new update has forced me to start back at my Teir 7 Tiger P German Tank. I was on the German Tech line and had the VK 45.02 B tank with the Teir X gun I've spent months working on this line not to mention gold and silver to get the Teir X MAUS. And now all that hard work was for nothing! Now I'll be rewarded with the Pz.Kpfw VII? I don't want that tank! I want the MAUS! I hate to complain but, don't  you understand how long it takes to grind these tanks to get to Teir  X??? I just spent $55 US dollars on the game to help myself get the MAUS and now all that hard earned cash & work was for nothing. I now had to go back to the Tiger P re-buy the tank for over a 1 million silver and grind the VK 100.01 P & Mäuschen to get the MAUS??? Why were we not awarded those 2 tanks as well if were already got the VK 45.02 B and the top gun.

i think it would be fair since we were going for the MAUS in the first place. I spent so much time working towards that tank I contacted support for an answer and they said "Sorry it's out of our control"

Well Sh*t. That sucks. War gaming needs to fix this issue. I feel cheated out of my time and money I didn't put all that effort in for the Pz.Kpfw VII I did it for the MAUS. It's just not worth it to me anymore to even play the VK.45.02 B

was going down the maus line untill update. made it to the VK45B . now the maus is no longer an option, now my only option is to buy bask the tiger p, not a fan,and start the grind all over. no thanks. something else im not going to do is spend money converting xp. not intrested in the teir ten of the vk line. would benice if you guy woulk make the maus available through the previous line from the tier 8 and 9. gradfather them in even if its only temporary. that way the game fells like fun and nota waste of time.
