Please leave us your Siege Mode feedback!
The Swedish nation introduces a new gameplay mechanics and aiming system. These new additions are only available on certain high-tier Swedish Tank Destroyers.  These tanks are equipped with a unique hydro-pneumatic suspension, which allows them to raise and lower the front of their hulls. Because the guns are fixed to the hull, they have little gun traversal and rely on their hull to change their gun direction and elevation. Due to these traversal limitations and the reliance on hull movement, they have two firing modes, Travel mode and Siege mode. Unique to Siege mode, the Camouflage Net and Binocular Telescope will remain active during hull movement.

It's been pretty nice.  The accuracy and aim time is just ridiculous.  It takes some getting used to along with good map awareness and positioning but it's only really a problem with urban maps.

I would make a suggestion though:  After several games I think the Siege Mode indicator needs to be more visible.

1. When I swap from 3rd person to 1st person, it still points my camera to where the gun is currently looking, it should zoom me in on where I am looking so I can attack the enemy.

 

2. The white line that was changed with the physics update should really be a changeable option. It used to be that the white line on the map was where you were looking, but for some reason it was changed to only show where I am looking on occasion. With the new camera mechanics it would be amazing to have that line back that shows where I am looking, so I can line up shots easier. As it stands the current version of the white line is useless besides knowing maximum shell range, but it hurts TD's, especially the swedes.

 

3. The free camera should be an option available at all times. It is jarring to swap between tanks and have different camera controls.

Also the sensitivity is far to low, and we should be able to change the color of the crosshair, because it is jarring when the reticle is moving around.

The white line shows the direction that the gun is pointing, not where you are looking, unless you are looking in the same direction that your gun is pointing

Which is useless, and hurts TD's, especially in siege mode when I am trying to keep in line with a point on the map, but I have to turn my hull for any period of time.

There is a dashed black line which indicates where you are looking (camera). The whiteline would be a boresight line (gun). Granted, with the new minimaps, that dashed black line is sometimes rather hard to see. It extends out to your view range arc.

Wow, there is a line, it is virtually impossible to see though, I had to walk up to my screen to see it. They should let me swap the gun line with the sight line, I don't like the gun line.

Not really, the Base Bundle is 12300 which is right, You got the Ultimate Bundle which includes extras.

While in siege mode the S1 has more gun depression in 3rd person camera mode than in sniper mode. By what seems an extra 2 degrees or so.

Just wanted to reiterate that the camera turning speed can be described as glacial.

Add an aiming reticle so we can pre-aim, since the gun reticle doesn't keep up. We have to go off of the reload meter to keep generally aimed.

I've found that at times, while in siege mode, if I am on a ridge and do a 180 to check my flank when I return to my previous position I can no longer depress the gun to the same level I did previously. I am only spinning my hull so it should not be an issue. I end up having to move forward or back causing camo net and binocs to be disabled in order to be able to depress the gun again.

My main complaint is the lack of full map rotation.. I get put into small, tight-laned maps 3/4 of the time and it's difficult to use on himmelsdorf, ensk, widepark, ruinberg, Siegfried since the battle is in the town,  ravaged capital,

I have a bit over 100 games in the S1 now and I have a few pieces of feedback. 

 

1. It is great! It is difficult to play, but very rewarding when you get the hang of it. 

2. I miss hull lock. I would like to be able to look around without moving the tank.

3. I consistently get a lot more gun depression when auto-aiming than when in sniper mode. This is very annoying as I have to move out of cover to aim in the shot manually. If auto aiming gets a lock with APCR, I should be able to get to the target manually as well. This feels similar to playing derp gun when auto aim can lob over a ridge but the shell drop is not nearly close to the difference in depression. Probably the same thing as Shadowflame is mentioning above.
