I noticed a few tanks with notorious commander's hatches got them buffed. (Of course, I long since sold my Tiger P because of that.)

 

SO, now grinding toward the 110E3 in this T95, I'd hoped to see it get the same buff to the hatch? Nope. Sure the extra 7 KPH helps, BUT not if you get to the fight and all the other tanks have gotten an armor, penetration and alpha buff along with more gun depression?! The DOOM TURTLE has already been nerfed on armor. The cheeks were weakened in the last update or so. Gets penned frontally with ease by most tier X tanks and many Tier IX. 241,000 xp to grind through in a tank that has been weakened by meta is just wrong-thinking.

 

Secondly, the Kaiju. HOW do you nerf a premium tank? It already has the weaker gun configuration. Now you've weakened the armor to the rear of both turret and hull in a slow-moving, slow-turning department store on tracks? What too many people complaining they couldn't damage it in their medium tanks?

 

I guess your base will always be attracted to the new toys and spend money, but sooner or later there will be fewer players for them to play against.

We’re is the Patton’s a5 turret just giving it a gun Mantel buff doesn’t do anything for the tank

It takes time to make the new model and it was just the buffed on the pc, so it would either get the needed buff now and wait for the turret or wait for the buff and turret.

Overall, pretty happy with the vehicle changes. I was VERY happy to see that the Type 4/5 howitzers did not get the pay to win premium HE that the PC version has, and instead got HEAT ammo. Also very happy that the T110E5 commander's hatch got nerfed. E100 AP pen buff is appreciated. Also happy the m53/55 got nerfed.  Panther/M10 buff is also great, I've been playing that tank a lot today. Overall, I think that this was a really good update for balancing; however, there is one thing I wasn't too pleased about. Not something you did, but something left unchanged: FV215b 183 and FV4005 II HESH. This ammo was nerfed a while ago on PC to 230mm of pen, and I was hoping that that change would finally make it over to console. I really hope that the next balancing pass includes this change. Other than this though, I'm quite happy with what you guys have done.

I don't know why ya'll wouldn't let us know that we weren't going to get the new turret on the Patton to begin with instead of being shaddy about it! I know there were a lot of threads asking about it but we never go an answer. The update is overall good but adding the NO SKILL cannon to the type 4 and 5 was just stupid. I just hope you all don't go full retard and add the premium HE ammo to the Type 4 and 5.

Great job with the Type 5 Heavy premium round making it a different shell type (HEAT) rather than a straight more silver for more damage HE shell. This is the first time ever where I can say not following PC on balance was a good idea, although the penetration might have been overdone...

 

It's great that you brought forward some balancing that wasn't due until we caught up with newer PC updates (9.20) rather than just sticking to 9.17 changes. (IS-7, M48 Patton etc.)

 

Bad

 

No idea why the T92 got a new engine?

 

The Object 263 is HD now, it wasn't in the patch notes, were more tanks left out? Disappointing as had I known I would've tried to get it researched over the weekend.

 

It seems the balance team is either stubborn or forgetful about revisiting buffs/nerfs they decided not to implement in the past. Some obvious examples; AMX 50 B aim time, buffing the Type 5 armor and gun but forgetting the HP and dispersion buffs that came long before. There are countless instances like this, please bring it to their attention, just ask them to revisit everything they overlooked from old balance passes every time a new balance pass comes around.

 

German high tier engines... I will never understand why they still exist as they are... 3 mediums, 3 heavies, 3 TDs all have the wrong engines with far too much horsepower yet still keep receiving the PC buffs on top of them which were brought in to make up for their sluggishness, they aren't supposed to cruise around like American and British tanks.

 

Some things which are completely illogical and a mess because of the refusal to trust PC more often. Object 704 had it's reload lengthened a while ago so now it has a longer reload than the tank before it (ISU-152) using the same gun? Sturer Emil and Waffentrager auf Pz. IV have ridiculous view range which are both way too high for the tier they sit at, should've been changed at the same time as the Borsig. Also, the SU-100 was named after the 100mm gun it used yet doesn't have a package containing the top engine with that gun...

 

Still no TD alpha changes... and even worse no 183mm HESH penetration reduction or Waffentrager E 100 clip size and HP reduction...

 

Overall

 

Despite the bad list being a lot longer than the good, these are just the glaring things that are going unnoticed, there are a lot of good things I haven't mentioned as they are clear improvements.

 

Please trust PC changes, console updates are far enough behind that overpowered and underpowered tanks have been tweaked by PC long before the server upgrade comes here. The console balance in all honesty is generally a lop sided mess right now with the cherry picking policy of balance, albeit much better than it was a year ago when it was as poor as could possibly be.

This gun depression makes this (PZ III/IV) tank even a bigger beast wow!!!

75mm KwK 40 L48 Gun

  • Gun model: Gun08 -> Gun02
  • Reload time: 4.3 -> 4
  • Max gun elevation: 17 -> 20
  • Max gun depression: -6 -> -10

And the E50 at 10 huge difference

About every third time I highlight the Pz V/IV in the garage my game crashes.  I do not have the exact error message, but this is a consistent occurrence.

Also one more thing - I am quite happy with the way the M48A1 Patton was handled. I'm glad that it didn't get the new M48A5 turret on PC, instead getting the armor buff but keeping the larger cupola. I think this is better for the balance of this vehicle at tier 10 on console at least, because if the patton got that new turret like it has on PC, when hiding the hatch with its gun depression it would have pretty much as strong a turret as the T-62A but with 9 deg of depression and not the 5 deg that the 62a gets. The M48 was already considered pretty good without this buff, so I think that adding the smaller cupola like on PC might have made it a bit too strong.

VK 100 - Please give this beast a second fully upgraded package with the Stock 105mm gun.  The better gun handling and DPM make that gun a viable option.

You guys took some armour off my beloved Kaiju that brakes my heart it's going to be that little bit harder to bounce 6k damage lol. I love the gun depression on the leopard pta now and it's about time the 28 prototype gets a speed buff. All in all a good update boys and girls. Good work. Please leave Kaiju alone.

I've found that engine related transmission gear (which were set behind front Hull armor) has been removed from almost all German MT tanks(except Tier3 Pz. IV.A and Tier4 Pz.IV.D).

That means they don't affect any module(engine) damages even if their front armor were pierced. I think this is unwritten improvement of Update 4.1, Good Job WG !!

I was surprised to see an updated model for the Lorraine 40t.(Not in patch notes)  Looks smaller.
