My american light tank crew is on 98% of Snap Shot skill...today I've played one game in Chafee and that game was victory, so daily double boost was used on Chafee. After that I've moved Chafee crew to Lycan and played a game, also a victory and daily boost used plus one op with xp was also completed, all in all around 3600 xp...So this crew earned over 5k xp and skill level stayed unchanged ..98%

EB: "Normal procedure, Lieutenant, is to jump 200 feet in the air and scatter oneself over a wide area."

Hello, Your crew isn't 100% trained yet so the XP you are earning is going towards your Crew's Training level first. Once you get to 100%, than the Crew XP will be applied to your skill training. :honoring:

Don't close it, we still want to laugh at you. It's not like this exact conversation sounds like a dejavu or anything.

while Max is correct, its also possible that with a very high-skill Crew that 3600xp simply wouldn't make much of a dent.

For example, if you had like 12 other skills already on it, the new skill would cost ~400k xp, so that 3600 wouldn't even be 1% (not to mention that the percentages are NOT static, as in it takes more XP to go from 98 to 99 than it does from 63 to 64)

But yes, you got the correct answer, just do keep in mind this other possibility :)

I'm aware of that...but it's not '12 other skills crew'...I sold Chafee after I progressed to T37 (never researched that arty line)...now I've bought it back couple of weeks ago and obviously forgot it about it...so it's what Max said...

So, since we are all laughing...I have a similar problem. Rank 6, 33% on Brothers in Arms, have played 10+ battles, different vehicles, tier 3 arty to tier 8 Pershing, one even w/crew xp bonus. Has not moved at all. Am I missing something, (as we are all still laughing WITH Jope)? Do I drop 1000 gold just to see if your theories are correct or just drop a ticket and hope WG can take care of it? Thanks for your witty help in advance, lol.

What exactly is your issue?

Your crew losing training moving from a T3 arty to a T8 pershing?  Are they both non-Premiums?

No, the crew will not move/progress. I thought that when you at the very least use a Crew XP it would move 1%? Paid 112 gold to see if that would work, no joy! And had crew in at least 8 different vehicles both Premium and non. Put a ticket in waiting for a response.

first off, you cannot have a Crew trained to more than 1 non-premium tank

if you've been moving them back-and-forth, you've wasted a HUGE amount of XP and Time and Silver

second, 1% doesnt mean 1k XP - it means 1%. For a high-skill crew that 1% could mean 10k+ XP. Plus, going from 96 to 97% takes more XP than going from 60 to 61% (stupid WoT math schemes)

Block Quote

Paid 112 gold to see if that would work

This is a sign that you're about to make a mistake - you should NEVER TRAIN CREWS FOR GOLD unless you have a VERY particular reason to do that, because its a HUGE waste of money - just train 75% and play a few games in a Premium Tank

That said, click on the link in my Signature that talks about Crews and Premium Tanks, there is a lot of useful stuff there that can help you out :)

Was not aware of your first point but it does make (WOT), sense. I was just trying any possible combination to see if it would get my crew moving, to include gold crew XP. I did change the crew face and name so maybe therein lies the issue/glitch. I have also played roughly 5/6 times in Premiums to no avail. They are stuck at 33% so should not be that much XP as you stated as opposed to 96% to 97%.

As a little back story, I played WOT several years ago once or twice and only this year played about 99% of my 12,000 plus games. My learning curve is highly accelerated as most of you long time veteran players have done what I did over the course of several years. So literally I was playing games with full load outs and quite honestly wasting a LOT of money. But it is all good because I do love this game and have not played anything else this year. Having said that I well check out your suggestion and am learning a lot since getting on the forum's, not from WOT but from players like you. Thanks for the help and I look forward to seeing you on the battlefield.
