It's pretty fun, to be honest. I like Mobile Defense and the headlights on the tank. Cool concept.

It was pretty fun but didnt seem to give rewards like the other three war stories before

Is there any time limit in these battles, I tried to go to play this new War Story, but I got sudden "Service Unavailable". Now my tank is in battle, but I'm not, so do I need to contact support or is there some time after my tank comes back from war story battle?

I didn't notice any time limit, and I played all three chapters in Kennedy's War.

Fun yes i would always suggest selecting daily ops as well in story mode for more xp silver all that good tank stuff. Fun solo and with xbox live friends as well. 

  Side note iam on 32 battles of the storyteller part 7 of the Op. Wich is doing 85 total battles , silly yes just for  little premium time . But i like these side OPs plus multi player is always fun for me, well most times lol. GG to all who thinks these crazy ops lol 85 battles i am close i should be done this weekend.

Just letting you know that Storyteller XI requires 820 or 825 games to complete, but gives you thirty days of premium.

^ there are small 3 minute time limits on the last mission when going after the missile sites but timer resets for each one (also don't need to cap the last site if you destroy all hostiles) other than that I didn't see any timer.

 

Also every time I went back to the garage the M41 wouldn't load up, so I had to complete the story stock (completed without picking up ammo though, the AI can actually shoot straight for once)

 

P.S. 

WG enough with Murcia and Britain please, give other nations a chance to be the heros

Ok, going to try to be as balanced as possible here:

 

Pros:

-Actually kind of fun on it's own. If it wasn't for some of the cons I mention later, it might be even more so.

 

- Cut scene art seems to have improved. Did you guys get a new artist and animator? 

 

- The second mission's atmosphere was really nice. The hurricane weather, flairs going off, and the tank spot lights was actually really cool to see, and served as a nice set piece.

 

-Friendly AI is actually surprisingly responsive when given orders. Nice to have teammates that cooperate for a change.

 

Cons:

- Again, what's with the complete lack rewards? People play through this (and apparently spend millions in credits to outfit their tanks) and even with the 200% boost we're still getting less than 700 XP and 9,000 credits? That's with secondary objectives complete btw.

 

- Enemy AI is as bad as usual, nothing really threatening about an IS driving engine first towards you.

 

- And really kind of a fundamental question, but I think it needs to be asked: Why go through the effort of "alternate history" scenarios when all of the alternate history aspects are scrapped?

 

What I mean by that is, the setting is 1962, but you see the US and Soviets fielding prototypes that hadn't seen the light of day since the 40s. T29? T20? All of those where passed up for tanks that actually saw service years before the missions take place. The US had the Pattons and M103 by '62. And the Soviets.... oh boy, why are the Soviets fielding T-150s (a project scrapped at the Siege of Leningrad) and Churchill IIIs when they had IS-3s and T-54s aplenty? Sure, they might not be the most balanced matchups, but they're at least appropriate for what you guys are trying to do, and can provide a really cool challenge! If nothing else, you guys can buff the crap out of the player tanks if needed, as I'm sure they're separate in the game files if your premiums are anything to go by.

 

On top of that, I find it odd that even though some world changing stuff goes on in these, things are right back to normal by the end and wrapped with a nice little bow. Why not carry on the alternate time lines? It could be an awesome way to open up future campaign ideas and allow people to reuse tanks and War Story crews in the future? Hell, I literally just made that up as I was typing this up.

 

Frankly it kind of seems like the entire idea of alternate history was something that WG dived head first into, but didn't really want to carry through, which is a shame, as it has some great potential. Maybe in the future the devs will be willing to have an open dialogue with the players about future possibilities, and improving the current missions.

RaiBOT01, are you allowed to tell us what is the final part/chain in the Storyteller Chained Op? and what the reward is? We really should be able to know so we can decide if we want to do it. Because idk if these guys are joking, but 1200 victories is past the point of ridiculous considering there are only 4 episodes.

The earnings are still garbage.  Using such a lightly armored tank as a Bulldog can make it very frustrating when the enemy AI mobs you and the friendly AI is ineffective.  Why do package upgrades for the WS tanks if you can’t earn enough XP to unlock them during the first or second missions?

Rewards are pants, why bother. Also yeah like Deco says some basic intelligence for the tanks used would be nice.

Well, I can tell you this: I'm not lying. Not sure who would come on a forum to lie about something so silly, or why someone would think one would lie about this, but what ever. Believe what you choose, but Storyteller XI gets you 30 days of premium, regardless.

Image of the bulldog doesn't load in garage.  Can't access crew screen or equipment or supplies. Also the story trailer did not play, it just dropped me into the first mission.  First mission was good, but would like to have option of consumables for next two.
