​They could have reskinned the Brazilian Bulldog and sold it... the HEP cannon is really sexy against bot tanks, and the tank discount/reward at the end would have made more sense. 

 

Cool that the War Story features a bulldog... Not cool on the associated discount reward being so full of fail...

 

You just don't know how not cool that ---- really is... ;)

Maybe WS tanks could earn like x2 Free XP or something? Really, there seems to be no incentive to replay the game mode with the provided WS tanks when most of our garages have a higher earning premium tank these days.

 

That's my major concern...  Earnings are nerfed hard... and the "special" WS tanks are technically obsolete for replay/challenge mode... Sometimes, when I use a multiplayer tank in this mode it feels like a poorly spent daily double... etc... boost the replay fun/earnings

A few thoughts after a first playthrough.

 

1) The maps are very nice. Well built as well as good looking.

2) The pacing of the missions and using light tanks is a lot of fun.

3) xp is very miserly

4) penalising earnings for using up ammo reloads is a ‘feel bad’ mechanic to me. It penalises success. It also limits using low ammo count tanks in war stories.

 

If I could change anything, I would only penalise for using repair boosts, not ammo boosts. I would increase the xp earned to 75% of multiplayer and credits too but not quite as much. Also, since we can’t use the war stories tanks outside of war stories (dissapointing), They should come already equipped with permanent camouflage appropriate to the setting.

the more of them that come out and the fact that i cant drive my actual tanks with hemorrhaging credits is retarded i like this game though this game mode is dead to me unless it costs no credits at all or i could make even just a couple thousand credits with my tier tens when i dont use premium consumables, and the ai both teams need adjustment.

The tank searchlight effects in chapter 2 for the storm attack are awesome. Can we please have the same effects on the weather variant maps for our regular tanks? Using a searchlight during Sandstorm, Typhoon or Blizzard would make that mode way better...

I can't get my head around having to be stuck in a stock tank for these stories with the only way being free xping to get through them with any upgraded modules. I'm still being told I'm given 2xsilver bonus ops door meeting secondary objective but actually receive nothing for it. Tiny amount of silver and XP even though 5k damage done and 7 kills? Might as well sir behind a rock and let the friendly ai so all the work, right?

The op was ok. Maps very good. Ai could be very dangerous at times.

Reward tank was kind of junk, it’s a unskinned ripper. Nothing special but the price was very good.

All in all the op wasn’t bad. Just nothing to write home about

The war story is good except for one change.


 

You shouldn't have to pay silver to upgrade a tank you'll never have access to in regular play.  Without upgrading the tank the last section of the story is impossible.

How to get through 3rd part? I either get killed trying to base capture or run out of time. The insanely accurate and hard hitting AI Bots are making it impossible to complete!  Any tips? What am I doing wrong??

I have the same problem, I completed all other war stories, but this 3rd part seems impossible for my skills :(

This method frees up more time to engage the last enemies.

 

After the first couple of tanks get the team together at the arrow and direct them to the cap and then activate. Dont cap the first cap right away. Push up to the next one and the 2 tanks up there will follow you down and get minced. Cap the first. Push up past the 2nd cap and spot the enemies at the third.  Direct fire on the arty as he has a hard on for you.  Cap the 2nd cap. You might need to rush the last cap with enemies alive as it takes 1:30. If any friendly is alive issue a follow me order to cap.

I swear to God this last mission is impossible in the stock. People say you just have to kill everything but I do that and I still have to cap the final base which is just impossible with the amount of time left. 

 

It would be helpful if my allies didn't keep falling back for no reason leaving me to receive every shot the enemy can throw at me. I even tried putting premium shells in this tank to no avail.

Same here.  Just not enough time and killing all the enemies does nothing.
