At least change the model so it's not breaking it's own gun lock.

KV1R7rm.jpg

Not sure why it has gun elevation anyway, the entire idea of the tank is that it cannot move its gun at all and has to use the suspension. I don't think it does on PC so why does it here?

Because from a lazy programming standpoint it is much easier to use the established coding to elevate a gun than it is to write new (bug free) code that elevates the suspension of the tank.

290+ tanks played haven't caught 'em all yet  539543

Think you are the best at WOT this link might explain why you are so good at this game.

It only does this when in travel mode, the S1 does the same exact thing. I noticed this when it came out and didn't feel it was a major deal as it has no lock and thus "I'll give em the benefit of the doubt". However, I see it's spread to the 103 as well, and as you can see it looks completely wrong.

The suspension elevates/depresses properly for the most part and the gun is static, but if you go from one mode to the other just watch the barrel snap up/down when transistion completes.

103-0, right ?

The game says 103-0 and 103B have gun elevation and depression, but the 103B can't move the gun.

Also, why we can't get the depression/elevation numbers for Siege Mode ?

I really wish WG did some real researsh about the sweden TD line before release .

The siege mode for example has no delay between transport and siege.

The tanks real feautures is in many ways tampered and absolutley in any way correct and that is a sad thing for me being from sweden and waited for this line to come.

We have a swimming lesson crew perk but this tanks can actually swim for real i cant see why we can not have this in wot .?

The Sweden TD s are superfast in turning around and the tanks gun accuracy is laser like.there is actually new inventions in wieving mechanics used on this beasts sweden even sold this technology to US it was developed by sweden company Eriksson and i belive Bofors and Hägglunds where involved aswell.

The 103B is a sniper and nothing else but the wieving is nerfed in wot.

The 103B has no such thing as a deley between transport and fire mode.(called siege mode)

The 103B is lightningfast in the ability to run up a hill aim and shoot fast and then back the H.ll from it.

The 103B can swim using a special equipmeant.

The 103B can be operated by one man if needed ( commander)

The 103B turn on a coin and the speed doing that is for the crew like seasick fast.( crews need special training for this feauture)

The 103B is a death trap in warfare according to drivers a personally know and they where laughing to the fact that they where given a 4 second survivial chance in real combat.( a green barrail has 6 seconds )

Ok so what is my point.

We dont need more tanks in wot that look tuff and have special feautures but when it comes down to it just is another tanks that plays exactley in the opposite way.

I know it is a game and everyone really wants to play the same same same tank over and over with there big big egos writing noob messages and be better then all the rest and the biggest shame is if they get killed camping in the last seconds of the game have waited to long to engage in battle. But really the 103B needs a overhaul now before it stays in the garage like permanent.

I dont have the 103B yet im at tier 8 UDES i like it but it does not have anything to do with the real sweden tank.

Sorry WG ooppss you did it again.

PS i know you say wot console is supposely a diffierent game compared to PC but in reality you just wish it was but you cant really make it can you?

lol ok, so WG implement the changes you want, you get your realistic 103B, but you also get your 4 second combat survivability, how much fun would it be for you then? How many people are going to grind up the line to tier X to last 4 seconds once the shooting starts?

The Leopard 1 is nothing like the real life version i crewed and commanded either, but you learn to deal with it.

If you want more of a hard core simulation play SteelBeasts II.

Autoloaders don't function correctly, artillery don't function correctly. Who knows how many vehicles use guns they couldn't practically fit, let alone even exist.

If you really want it, go pick a fight with a deathstar in the 103. Figure in the 3ish second aim time and shell velocity, there's your 4 second survival time.

In the end, some vehicles are simply worse off than reality, some are godly/capable compared to real life. Should throw in random engine damage chance for vehicles to get reliablity in the mix for the RNG gods.

The issue here is:

A. The gun barrel is clipping through the tank, this is surely an obvious model issue even WG's inhouse testers should have seen let alone ST.

B. The gun should not be able to move up or down at all, not just real life but from the PC game too.

Yeah, like I said it's barely noticable on the S1 because it has no lock. I figured "maybe it's just an S1 thing since it has no lock and moves a tiny bit kinda like the UDES" and thus didn't seem dire. Then I saw the exact same issue on the 103's which do have locks and shows just how far out of place they stray.
Key being if you go into siege mode it'll put the gun in the correct place and hold it there while moving the suspension. For whatever reason the barrel becomes free floating and prongs upwards when in travel mode, thus resulting in the issue. I can only assume it's a whoopsie that slipped through somehow due to mechanics changing.
The gun has depression/elevation ranges(not an issue for the S1 since it could feasibly wiggle 2-3 degrees), but the 103's shouldn't and is possibly the cause. Seeing as the hull/suspension is set to be 'static' like everything else the gun moves because it's not a true physical lock.
I agree it shouldn't move at all, unless it nose dives off a cliff or something.

Are you sure they don't on PC?

I was checking them out on tanks.gg back when they were released for PC and noticed this behaviour.

I did not say that i just that i would have preferd other ways to play this tank intruducing a siege mode with a delay ?

In this way we are forced to use it like a way behind sniper not just the delayed siege mode the tankrotation speed makes it almost impossible to play in any other way.

How can this be like a Leopard and i dont know the survivial rate of a general tank commander this was just a referens from a real life tank commander from driving a 103B.

I dont say the tank is worse then others i just find it hard to beilive that this tank will be a tank seen in frequent numbers in wot.

We can come back to this after some time but my gut says when the op is gone the tanks will be in the garage.

My gut and real statistics from PC where they have big maps and a differient game mechanics where they have 30 by 30 tanks it is a other thing but i hope i am wrong.

Somehow I doubt it's a "whoopsie" and they just assumed we would be okay with it...we are not.
