Been thinking about skills and perks lately...the longest grind in WoT.  Platooned up last night and I pitched the thought of being able to purchase 1 skill or perk per 'rack' or set of 5.  The pricing would be something like 500-750 for the first 'rack' and then double for each rack afterwards.  I'm currently working on my 21st...and it's a hell of a grind lol.  Alternatively, the war chests could also have 'rare' percentage based bonuses such as "play one battle, earn 20% on your current skill or perk.  Does not carry over, can only complete one."

It's nice to have the current multiplier ops, but if you have a rotten game...'poof'...it's out the window.  At least with the percentage deal it would be guaranteed...and they'd have to be pretty dear to earn, to keep it balanced.

Thoughts?

You shouldn't be able to buy perks. That's when you start bordering into pay to win territory by giving people a buyable advantage.. They should be earned, not bought.

As much as I hate the pain of grinding experience toward a Perk or Skill, earning them keeps the field level.  There’s a lot of players that bought their way to Tier X, I don’t imagine their “skillz” improving with purchased perks.  Quite the opposite.  Need seat time to fully enrich the game in my opinion.  Peace.

With the first 10 or so, it's not too bad.  With the crazy multiplying XP requirement it gets a bit silly after 15 lol.  I think I'm sitting on around 13 000 000 crew xp and at 18% of my 21st perk.  I don't even want to think what it'll be at if I ever make it to 25 [edited]

skills 17 - 20 are all 1,600,000 xp.

they take a looong time. but skills 21 - 24 are 3,200,000 xp each  . . . . . . .

you shouldnt be able to buy skills. earn only. but boosts should only work on a win. its unfair that a defeat eats them up.

They are selling large bundles of 6x crew xp multipliers. 100 of them for 12400 gold. If you can average 1000 xp per game that is an extra 500,000 crew xp for just over $50. Use them on a premium with an additional crew xp multiplier and it will really add up.

Pretty much like buying skill, but you still need to play for the xp to multiply.

I hear ya.  It’s brutal for sure. Look at the bright side though, the guy shooting at you with 23 perks bled out of his ears to get them....LOL
