I hope not and I hope both of you are wrong in your predictions...That would be like having those toy tanks in TT..

I hope I am wrong too. But seeing how we already have toy tanks like the Nameless, it's not that much of a stretch.

So when I see players saying they won't play just because the reward isn't good enough. Then that means they're not playing for fun.

While its true people should be playing for fun but the TankBowl is a competition and players who are taking it seriously want something that makes their hard work pay off. Personally, I think earning a MVP medal and being on the winning side should be mandatory for getting the free tank but seeing how the reward is meh, I guess one and doners won't be getting anything that they would want to play often. I know not everyone has the time to get the MVP medal but it does make it so you actually have to put effort into it and not get 1 completion and pray you get a free tank.

On a different note, I think the prize tank needs a different barrel but not the one people are thinking. What would make this tank truely stand out and not just another copy paste Sherman, would to give it the 105mm howitzer. There isn't many premium medium tanks in the game that are given howitzers currently.

To get Op prize tank you don't have to get MVP medal (over 110 completions points), just one completion at least. (Other team members need get lots of completions to raise rate of completions though).

Its 110 points, not 110 completions (110 completions is 1,650 points). I know you don't need MVP but I was saying that it would help discourage people to do 1 completion and leave the work to others to get enough completions to win.

Edit: Did the numbers and its practically impossible for a single account to get 1,650 points over the course of 4 days. You would have to play 14 matches and hour and place 1st in ever single match. I was just curious about what would be needed to get that many points.

Considering we're talking about Warhammer 40K, I see what you did there. :B

Be verbose - you have a vocabulary for a reason.

Good with words; bad with tanks. At least I can talk you to death.

Id rather focus on how much more of a burn the prize tank this year appears to be than last year... I mean really... an M4...? Haven't seen one of those in a while...

It feels like its only worth it if you let the USSR win the tankbowl

My question,  obviously if Russia has 12,000 players. And say only 5000 play American, wont that basically insure a Russian win? I played both today and found the scoring to be very even. Im choosing Russian

I have played 80 matches (solo 5 each tier - more in tier 5 and 8) on both EU and NA, the Russian tanks are accumulating points (top 5 consistently, I don't pay attention to 6-10 because those players are not consistent) close to 2:1 over USA. USSR occupies the top spots 46% of the time to USA's 27% on EU and 40% to 27% on NA. I'm gonna study 100 battles on the weekend. Even if Russian tanks outnumber U.S. tanks and they have to complete more, they should have no problem based on the xp numbers they are getting. My prediction: USSR 218000 USA 191000.

Though, my numbers can be fooled by all the people who get one completion and go back to grinding other nations. Someone said the average completion rate for TB 2017 was 1.5 which is really sad, some of us got 30+.

They are just getting points to qualify the Tryouts, so it is sure that parameter of USSR would be much more than one of USA. (USSR qualified participants >>USA qualified participants)

Last year Tank Bowl we just need to play. Now they introduce this "Try out" business that will be more work than the Ranked placement games. The ever convoluted pts system again. At the end you only get a gimmicky M4 Sherman. I like to see the participation figures of this year compares to last year.

Give out good prizes if you want people to do that much work.

Okay, you're playing a game that is relatively free if you so choose. You can win something for playing a game. You're also left with the ability to choose whether or not to participate, and receive the prize if you earn it. At what point did it become "work"?

Tryouts was the same last year except it was most completions instead of average :)

World of Tanks Console: That's some dedication, James! Congrats to finishing the tryouts so quickly, and on two accounts even! :O

Good for you Mash! So you've covered all possible outcomes and M4 Champion is yours ...on one of your accounts...:great:

The 13. (Tiger) Kompanie, of Panzer Regiment Großdeutschland, reported on the performance of the 88 mm KwK 36 L/56, when their Tigers engaged the T-34: "First round hits were usually achieved at ranges between 800 to 1,000 meters. At these ranges, the Panzer Granate (they are referring to the PzGr. 39 APCBC ammunition) absolutely penetrated through the frontal armor, and usually still destroyed the engine at the rear of the T-34 tank. In 80 percent of the cases, shots from the same range hitting the side of the hull toward the rear of the tank resulted in the fuel tanks exploding. Even at ranges of 1,500 meters and longer, during favorable weather, it is possible to succeed in penetrating the T-34 with minimal expenditure of ammunition" (JENTZ, Thomas L.; Germany's TIGER Tanks - Tiger I and II: Combat Tactics; op. cit.).

3 MoE tanks: T-34, Pz IVH, Tiger I, Pz.Kpfw. T 25, M7, T-50

New updated poll - please take a minute and cast your votes for the least preferred map in rotation (2019)

Nope, it gets the 75mm gun with only 92 AP pen and 0.46 accuracy.
In the grim darkness of the future of World of Tanks Fantasy, there is only disappointment.
Derp for the Derp God, prammo for the prammo throne! Let the gameplay burn!
