Object 252U Defender Stats

We understand that a lot of players have been using PC sources and videos to judge the upcoming tank, Object 252U Defender. We want you to know that the version that exist on PC is not the same version that is coming to Console. Based on Internal and Supertest balance testing, the following is a list of differences between the PC version and the Console version of this tank. We hope this clears up the speculation and look forward to your feedback once the tank goes Live!

 

These changes still preserve the tanks near impenetrable upper hull armor making it an excellent front line tank to get up close and personal with the enemy to deliver its 440 damage payload. 

 

Console specific changes:

  • Lower front hull armor: 140mm -> 130mm
  • RoF: 4.0 -> 3.87
  • Chassis rotation: 30 -> 28
  • Shot dispersion: 0.44 -> 0.47
  • After shot dispersion: 3 -> 4
  • Aim time: 3.2 -> 3.4

 

Tank Characteristics:

  • Matchmaking: Plays up to Tier 10
  • 50% Silver Bonus Earn
  • 10% XP Bonus
  • Hit Points: 1500
  • Engine Power: 700 hp
  • Power/Weight Ratio: 13.59 hp/ton
  • Speed Limit: 35 km/h
  • Hull Traverse Speed: 28 deg/sec
  • Hull Armor: 130/100/90
  • Turret Armor: 250/150/100
  • Turret Traverse Speed: 24 deg/sec
  • Penetration: 225/265/68
  • Damage: 440/440/530
  • Aim Time: 3.4 sec
  • Accuracy: 0.47
  • Gun Caliber: 122 mm
  • Rate of Fire: 3.87 rounds/min
  • Max Ammo Capacity: 30 rounds
  • View Range: 350 m
  • Signal Range: 730 m

Quite whether it needed the full monty on gun nerfs I couldn't say, but the low plate nerf is very welcome - it needs to be somewhat beatable by lower tiers, and is nigh on invincible when hull down.

Very good change on the lower plate, Gun handling we will see.

Anything hidden done to the patriot that makes it different from the PC version? Since soft stats are hard to find.

I can agree with the LFP nerf, but the gun characteristics caught me off guard. That looks like a bit much.

Dang it got the Nameless treatment. Nerfed too hard for viability. Agree with posters that the gun nerfs were not needed.

Yes this really is a shame.  Are there some people on the testing programs that dislike premium tanks and insist that many take a beating with the nerf stick before being ported from PC?

If you guys restored this tank to its former glory, I would buy it in a heartbeat. As it is, I'll wait until I can earn one for free.

PC Version is cheaper and stronger but Console Version is Weaker and more expensive???

Nerfs are were needed, just wondering the logic behind making terrible shot dispersion worse.

Whoever the hell is in the industry of balancing video games needs to learn that you nerf ONE thing, not EVERYTHING.  Slight tweaks, not massive nukes.  The DPM nerf was acceptable but disappointing by itself.  Adding on a rotation nerf, LFP nerf, dispersion, after shot dispersion nerf, and aim time nerf is UNBELIEVABLY too much.

 

All you had to do was keep everything the same as the PC version except the LFP and you'd have a balanced tank.  I can't say I'm too angry though, this will just make it easier to club the seals that buy this thinking it's a god tank.

Not even close ... I think it will outsell. If it was not so darn expensive for me, I might have bought one myself outright.

 

That 21,500 package looks extremely enticing: 10,240 for the Patriot and 11,200 for the defender after discounts.

Believe the idea is that it should be a front line brawler so the accuracy changes mainly affect those trying to snipe with it.

The gun rof nerf is not really a nerf considering the Tier 9-10 alpha is already has. The gun handling nerfs are not really relevant at close range where the use of this tank is expected. Or were you planning on being a sniper with it?

 

The hull nerf - I doubt it will matter much most of the time, just look at the angled armor profile of this tank or if you are hull down.
