Basically if your tank has a 50% crew xp boost then your crew will gain skills/perks 50% faster in that tank than in a tank with no crew xp bonus

I use them for my daily x2 is it’s an xp boost.

if it’s a crew xp boost I use it on my premium tanks.

you have to activate them before loading, like any other ops, but they are earned regardless of win or loss or performance.

If you mean the boost ops then you get the base crew xp multiplied by the level of boost. You don't get double the boost if it is your x2 game. They are used regardless of how well you do and the boost op will stay on until you run out unless you manually turn it off. If you still have a tank in battle the boost on that tank will still show in how many you have but is locked to that tank and used when the battle ends.

Elite tanks add 25% to crew xp and premiums add their xp bonus after that 25% since they are elite too.

Just realized you are tanking about the boost ops, not crew xp bonuses on premium tanks. Just activate one of them and go into battle, and your crew will earn 3x or 4x, etc, etc (depending on the op) more xp toward their next skill or perk than they normally would

the XP you get in the game from every match  is also your crew XP amount.

if you drive a premium tank with a 10% crew boost, & you earn 1000 xp using that tank, then your crew goes up by 1100 xp.

if you use a x2 crew xp boost op in a match, & you earn 1000 xp in that match, then your crew will go up by 2000 xp.

boost ops dont turn off once you have selected them. they will carry on working untill they run out. so if you switch crews or tanks, they will still be on & its up to you to turn them off.

If you have a x3 Crew XP Boost then it gives you +200% on top of your Base XP earned in battle as crew training.

So if your Base XP is 1000, then it will give you :-

1k (Base) + 2k (Boost) = 3k Total crew training

That is about 3% towards the first 4 skills, but it won't show up as increased XP earned as Tank XP to go towards packages. To use them best run them against a premium that you do consistently well in and win in. That will mean you are more likely to earn more base xp and get more boost. The boost gets burned win or lose.

It doesn't multiply up with other ops and daily x2, it adds and the Base only counts once. So if you had a x125% op on a daily double for the same example above (1k Base XP) it would be :-

1k (Base) + 2k (Crew Boost) +1k (Daily Double) + 250 (op) = 4250 XP Total crew training

1000 + 2000 + 1000 + 250 = 4250

Premium tanks get +25% XP bonus for being elite then add their specific xp modifier to that total, so your 10% tank would make 1375xp.

A Churchill III makes 2125xp off 1000 base!

I'll tell you how they work for me: the moment I activate one, the game goes into hard mode.  I get crappier teams and I shoot marshmallows. Either win with no damage done or die without doing anything.

I hope you have better luck than me.

Wish WG would program them so you could pick to activate after battles :)

Are you guys sure, that a X 6 crew XP , does not multiply / stack with a daily op like X 1,5 crew XP ?

Cause when WG did the X3 day and you did a X2 silver boost i made 500 + K games several times...

Would be a bummer if the X6 crew XP boosts don't stack / multiply with an Op crew XP boost and or the daily X2 ...

Although im nearly done with building up my 2 Swedish crews :)

you must still activate the bonus after a low tier game on a bad map. The chances of being in top tier on a good map are better after. But do not vegetate long between the two game, if you want to waste time to look at something else do not activate your bonus, you will return on bad map.
Never press the "next game" button when your bonuses are activated (unless you have been on a crappy and low tier map), if you do it half of your bonuses will be spammed by the MM.

Remember to replace one of your least useful skills with "mentor" BEFORE you use bonuses.

What would be better is...

a) Like PC have a 1 or 2 hour Boosts
b) It only activates if you finish in the top 5 (win or lose)

I was going to say Win and be in top 5 but that would be a little Overpowered but know PC has this for Mission Rewards at times.

It doesn’t matter if u go in straight or not. Yes it’s time and time again proven fact,as soon you activate bonus you game will be stacked against you.

Wg have already proven they can make a matchmaker do what they want it to but you think they are skilled enough coders to make the matchmaker respond to whoever loads in with a boost? They cant even get top tier tanks at +/-1 on reds vs greens. You are giving them way too much credit.

The issue is that boosts are a ‘feels bad’ mechanic. You don’t notice them when youre winning because the winning already makes you feel good but when you’re losing, it stings more because you spent your one use boost on it. (Premium ammo is a feel bad mechanic too as is rng on penetration; things that punish you when losing far more than they reward you for winning)

Fixed time boosts would be far better imo.

Maybe, but still why do you think you’re receiving targeted ads, when you are browsing. Tracking you history and other staff.Same with boosting opps. Recently my platoon mate was putting his boosts for 4 games. We did win only 1 in 4 games. Go figure.

We just deal with impossibly small sample sizes. We expect our stats to follow their average but it’s easily possible to majorly deviate from your average over twenty or thirty games, you just remember tha bad streaks far more than the good streaks.

I had exactly the same issue a couple of weeks ago. I was .5 from getting the first gunmark on my Chieftain so I thought I’d run a few games to get the mark on the barrel and feel good about myself. 5 hours later I was down at 62% and positive WG was rigging games against me personally. Realistically, it was far more likely I just got crap teams that ended up putting more pressure on me to perform and as the night went on, I started playing worse in response. No different to a sports team that plays awfully once they are well behind

We often play a little different too when we want to do better. When I play without pressure I am very often first or second of the team at the end of the game, from time to time top 5.
When I activate a bonus or I want to do better because of the operation of the moment, I play badly. It's not WG who teases me, it's me who does not want to change my way of playing.

When I would have played 10,000 more game maybe I will not do it anymore, but for now it's my reality.
