They they tell you ahead of time, you wont buy the current ones if the future ones are overall better.
It's been like this since day 1.
It's the same reason they power creep tanks, to keep the sheep buying tanks.
As a result lately I've been watching the timeline on PC and seeing which ones on there I want.
252U, Skorpion, AMX m4 MLE 49, Patriot, the chinese TD, I knew they were all coming and was holding off on buying the KV-4, t-44-100, adler, dragon, etc etc because I knew the new crop of power creep was on it's way.

If something doesn't make sense it's usually about money.
Seems to be a massive step up over the last year on premium tanks sales, has anyone actually calculated how much all these tanks would actually cost if a player bought every tank that got released?

At the same time they were hyping the release of the king dragon the T-34-85m (a tank people have requested on the forums for some time) was released without even a whisper from the marketing team. It just appeared in the store.
The opinion of a few forum uses does not matter in the least. Splashy tanks draw in revenue.

WG Balance 101, If a tank has a high survival rate, nerf its gun.

Then they should reassess their sales approach. They don't realize the sales they are losing, which could, if handled properly, make them even more money. Being short sighted is what loses cash.

This is a bundle from WOT PC that took place last Thanksgiving. Watch the video to see what the poster was saying about this kind of marketing.

This isn't the first time tanks were released without any notice.
Yet the response is always the same...we will look into doing it better next time.
I appreciate the sentiment, but the reality is that nothing will change.

Understood. I appreciate your honest feedback. I’ll talk with the team to figure out a better way to communicate new releases. Tanks!
A better way to communicate is simple, just COMMUNICATE it in the first place. It isnt hard, or at least it shouldn’t be. Maybe for some games its not a big deal just randomly dropping new content, but for this game i feel it matters more than most. The reasons being when we get new tanks, premium or tech tree, there is generally a amount of money involved or a fairly decent amount of time needed for grinding XP or silver or both. If we had any kind of notice whatsoever, it would allow a little prep time. Time enough to budget some extra money to be able to purchase new premiums we would like, or future grind some xp and silver in advance to be able to unlock the new content the day it drops.

I am now sitting here highly tempted by the alpine tiger simply because it's a WZ-111 and it has a really nice design. Unfortunately I already have a 112, T-34-3, Type 59 of which the T-34-3 gets the most mileage by far. One thing I hate about the T-34-3 and 112 are the gun handling at times, so that part is tempting.

I saw a video on the new Alpine Tiger, no official announcement though. And it is really, really beautiful but also really, really expensive.
The thing that really chaps me though, is not getting Parking Pass after finally getting an On Track China event. Nine garage slots full price and 14 days premium isn't a good deal when you already bought 360 days on Black Friday and EVERY War Chest for Christmas (including all bonus chests) and the three Anniversary War Chests were also premium days make this a less than enticing deal.
Hate to say it because I love the game, but it just seems like the WG marketing staff suffer total disconnect from what players want.

The Heavy is gross looking, I'll buy the non-skin when that comes out in a month probably......
And I could care less about yet another casemate Premium TD, I have like 10 of them already.
