Not sure how this works in terms of spotting damage.  The perk says that after your tank is destroyed, provided the radio operator isn’t killed, it shows tanks you are spotting for 2 more seconds.

Presumably, if you are in a light tank let’s say, after you are killed you continue to receive spotting damage if players are penning tanks you have lit up for them.

well after getting killed, I’ve never noticed spotting damage getting racked up in my tally.  So what is the deal with it, and how do we know if it ‘really’ works or not

I put this on one tank a long time ago and have never noticed anything. I keep wanting to switch it out but forget it's on there.

Not sure how to really test to see if it works outside of team training maybe.  I don't believe you continue to receive spot assist damage because you are dead.  I think it just keeps the tanks spotted to "help our your team".  Long story short you do not benefit from it but your team does.

Always seemed like a waste of a perk to me.  It only works after you are dead....and for only two seconds.  Who cares at that point?

You get no ribbons after you die.

You can still get damage and whatnot, but you get no visual notification of this.

Still, it's a waste of a perk. Even that one that allows you to be underwater for longer is more useful.

You can PM with with questions, if you wish. I don't bite.

Compilation thread of my ideas

Help the green team.... naaahhh. :teethhappy: I guess if it stacked with designated target and that one in a million situation happened it would have been worth it. :D:great:

What Joco said, if you get the Eye For An Eye, you often never see the damage and kill ribbons for the final bit. This is the same.

How useful it is probably depends on the tank and when in the battle you get killed. If arty has a shot lined up then it might really bump your assists, or if you were brawling and got surrounded after over extending?

Actually, you do get spotting damage after you die, it's just that the ribbons don't show up until after the match ends.

This would extend that period by 2 seconds. Not a priority perk but not totally useless either.

I have gotten spotting damage after death before, but not much and not often. The extra 2 secs IMHO is not worth it as even with a 25 skill crew I can see more useful stuff to have even swimming lessons would be better than this.
