Idk why but i just cant find this game fun anymore, i tried using different tanks to what i normally play, tried a different playstyle, ik it isnt the tank balance as thats fine, the game itself is beautiful to look at, idk it could be the MM giving me constant higher tiers? Maybe i just need a LONG break? Any suggestions on how to make it more enjoyable?

Sounds like you may be getting a bit of burnout on the game. Take a break if you need one, you will feel better once you get back. The game isn't going anywhere soon.

EDIT: My last break from the game was just about 6 months and when I came back I was actually highly enjoying the game once again.

Is the free T-Rex still available?  Load that thing up with your best crew and 300 APCR.  If that doesn't put a smile on your face nothing will.

Try a different game?  Buy a Premium that breaks the grind? Take a break.  Why be unhappy over a video game..been there, done that..Good Luck:great:

On the flip side I had a 3 year break and come back and I'm already not enjoying it again.

I think it's because before I had a good bunch of buddies to platoon with now that they are gone and I'm having to rely on pubbies to cover my [edited]from a light tank flank it's just frustrating.

I agree..thinking as you walk helps to refresh your feelings and recharges gaming interests, for me.  Falling behind the curve in this game can be a bit discouraging from taking long breaks is my biggest concern.  I'm way behind now after several extended breaks over the past few years..not as much fun as before, but still here:playing:

Just to interject: I'm having more fun now than ever. I'm accomplishing a lot lately. Between live matches on the weekends and PG and WS during the weekdays, I'm able to keep things fresh while still making good silver, crew building, and grinding xp.

I take month long breaks from it at a time. If another game comes out I want, I get it play through it to it's burnout point and head back to this.

While I'm pretty consistently having fun (and always have for the most part) I too am thinking of taking a break or limiting play time per day. I used to read books like crazy and now other than reading these forums (haha) I spend my free time tanking. Might be time to reduce a bit. I'm in the middle of a Rommel bio ("Trail of the Fox") and I'd really like to read more than a few pages before bed.

If on any given night I feel I'm not having fun tanking I simply log off for the night.  Then the next time I use one of my premium tanks with my best crew and beat the crap out of the red team.  The tank selection depends on the mood I want to be in. If it's crazy fun then I take out a light tank and zip around bushes, scouting and getting assist damage like a mad man finally circling isolated heavies to death and hunting down artillery.  If I want furious fun I take out a heavy with a big gun and blast my way through!  If I want sneaky fun I just grab a medium and peek and flank around unsuspecting or distracted enemy tanks.  Or I switch to PG or WS to build up the crews to get back to multiplayer.  Either way I try to keep it varied and fun.  And never grind just one or two tanks, you'll go nuts!

Me to. I actually got the MoE on my E-100. My first tier X tank.

I like this game because it brings out all sorts of emotions, anger ,frustration, elation and satisfaction. After reading some players on the form, a lot of frustration and burnout comes from grinding to new levels and feeling the need to complete the opps. In my opinion, this type of tanking can become a job instead of a game. I once received a message from a player stating in a humiliating manner that having played for so long, I should have way more level 10 Tanks. I thought about it for a while and realized I like and enjoy playing all my different level tanks. I grind a tank 1-4 times then I move on. I will get there eventually. My daughter just started playing and I'm glad I still have 2,3 and 4s. My son plays and he has 4-7. My older brother plays every level. I just try to have fun and contribute to any team. Yesterday I played ten games with unknown players who all went one way, I knew the games were more then likely lost unless they used their numbers to overwhelm and seriously push the base-not getting bogged down and stopping. Most games that didn't happen and we lost. I can't control many aspects of the games, matchups, boards,  my internet, types of tanks, players skills etc... All of these things can bring about frustrating emotions. I'm sure WOT does the best they can, but still a lot of complaining. It is what it is. This game demands  a certain amount of concentration, so when your tired put the game down, forget about it and get some sleep. Do something different, its not a job, it's a game. Anyway, I hope this helps and wish you the best.

i really lost the enthusiasm for this game towards the end of last year, so barely played it inn December and January, now, I'm playing loads and actually having a lot of fun, even when RNG screws me over.
i would recommend taking a break if it's not fun anymore. have a rest and you'll find that you'll probably come back to it in a month or so with renewed enthusiasm.

Like others have suggested. Take a break from time to time. What I did over the past year was not buy the full year of premium time. I buy months that I want to play. It gives me time to play other games and not feel like I'm missing out on my premium time. I know its a saving money thing. But its hard to take a break if in the back of your mind you think you should be using that premium.
