I am not surprised, I thought Japan will win. There were lots of French tanks Friday morning, but then OIs and other Japanese tanks ruled the score board that evening and on Saturday. Sunday was French again. This motivated me to do 8 completions (French.)

You confirm what I have read. Japanese on 3 to 5 and France 6 and above. Not scientific at all but clearly what I could see in the battles I was involved in.
I take it WG does not release any of the metrics behind the overall score.....so will not know for sure.

Wow... Well I'm glad I went to 12 or 13 completions for France! 
That's crazy to me that it was that close! I played tiers 7 and up and all I saw was French domination. How did we end up with a lower average than UK? Deathstar?
The fact that both matches were as close as they were is a testament to good foresight on WG's part. Good pairing!
